When Ego Refuses to Let Go

Allegedly, there are two sides to SC. In front of the camera, SC projects a positive, serene, and pleasant image. This side is the one her network allows the audience to see. Hence, these snippets have endeared SC to the public.The other side is the opposite. Behind the cameras, when no one is looking, SC can be such a nagger and demanding. These traits turned off a Former Lover (FL), but worse than these characteristics, SC loves to bring back past issues.
When SC found out that FL had talked casually to someone close to his Ex-Partner (EP), SC allegedly went ballistic. No explanation coming from FL could pacify her. Thus, FL knew that things would not work out given that SC would not be able to accept his past and the way he accommodates people he is familiar with. After all, at that time, FL already chose SC over EP, and that alone should make her secure. However, the mere presence shadow of EP, who has already moved on, triggers a certain level of insecurity on the part of SC.
This insecurity is something that seems to be a burden in her former relationship. For example, EP has a title that SC might never attain, although it is still too early to tell. While EP has made her physique more attractive, SC gained weight and had to take measures to lose the unwanted pounds. Still, SC managed to cope with the changes in her body. Then, EP seems to be gaining momentum in her career, whereas SC is still waiting for a potential hit.
Then, as time passes, the truth is slowly unraveling in front of SC. FL has already focused his attention on Confident Talent (CT). SC allegedly could not accept that FL would choose CT over her. As far as CT is concerned, her reactions are not subtle either. She could be tactless with her statements, unmindful of the implications. Meanwhile, the words and actions of SC are being interpreted as her own way of showing she is a notch higher than CT. Even her usual gym appointments are read as her way to make sure she gets back the body that could shame EP and CT. Regardless of her reason, her body would benefit from such actions, but bringing back FL is another story. Perhaps, SC should just let go and move on. A new love might just be at the corner.
