Clearly uncomfortable with being asked about the fact her former boyfriend, Luis Manzano, is dating again, actress Angel Locsin tried her best to be civil with reporters.
Locsin, noticeably ill at ease, refused to comment on Manzano's recent admission that he is going out with Jessy Mendiola, currently the "sexiest" woman in the country.
"Wala akong magandang masabi so hindi na lang ako magsasalita," she said.
Locsin, however, insisted that her apparent dour response to the question is not because she is still hurting from the failed relationship, but because she feels she has no right to comment on the issue.
"Alam ko naman din na darating din iyung panahon na aaminin naman nila na sila na. ...Pero buhay na nila iyan eh. Iba na ako. Tinanggal naman nila ako sa eksena so dito ako sa eksena ko rin," she said.
Locsin also did not reaffirm Manzano's suggestions that a third party was not involved in their split. "Kung anong sinabi niya. Lagi namang ganoon eh. Kung anong sinabi niya eh 'di iyon na iyon. Kayo? Ano sa tingin niyo?"
Both Locsin and Manzano have yet to speak about the reason behind their breakup.

Not Just Looks or Talent Leads to the Success of Her Career
The glamorous image of stars and celebrities has resulted in a deluge of young people trying to get into the industry. However, a debate that would often occupy their minds is if looks are enough or if talent should be more important. Not everyone with a name in the entertainment industry have both looks and talent. Others have either one, which compensates for the lack of the other. However, there is a third group of celebrities, that is, the one comprising talents with roots in the business.
By default, the expectation is that if one comes from a family of showbiz personalities, one is expected to follow suit. Therefore, the younger generation carries on his/her shoulder the weight of achieving greater fame than the elders. Under this scenario, Beautiful Celebrity (BC) was easily hired by a network. Without undergoing formal training prior to signing up with her management, BC was deemed to belong to a showbiz family, whose members were loved by the industry.
Unfortunately, several people noticed that BC had a sense of entitlement, which made her lack humility that her celebrity family was known for. Briefly, BC did not have as much skills in public relations the way her parents, aunts, uncles, and the rest of the family had. For example, BC hardly cared for people with whom she had worked with in the past. BC would pass by her former co-workers as though they were strangers. The co-workers would feel bad because they had interacted with BC for months until her projects were done. She would even be thoughtful and give tokens. For the people whom she snubbed, their ire had nothing to do with gifts, but rather, it was on their disappointment at the attitude of BC.
Thus, talk among the backstage people is that the reason for BC to achieve consistent success in her projects is her attitude towards the little people once a project has ended. It was like BC had an ‘attitude with no gratitude.’ Considering the time BC has been in the business and her connections, her career seems to be stagnant. This stagnancy has nothing to do with looks and talent because she has both anyway.
Her situation proves that other than looks, talent, connections, one has to exert effort in gaining the friendship of people around her. Some movers in the industry could hardly believe that BC did not even inherit even just a small amount of the skills of her parents when it comes to public relations and getting to know everyone on the set.
