Defying His Handlers for Being Real to His Nature

“Cool as a cucumber” might as well describe the attitude of Dapper Celebrity (DC) towards his career. After a series of movies that did well, DC found himself setting down in a network and securing his popularity among hordes of female fans. Thus, DC went with the flow and continued to make fans swoon.

However, the celebrity status of DC resulted in his lack of privacy, such that seeing him in public becomes news the next day. Although DC’s activities might seem common for his age, the Management Team (MT) thinks differently. After several photos were posted in social media of DC with several showbiz and non-showbiz ladies, MT got alarmed. Fans reacted in social media and even bashed females in the photo with DC. Worse, the photos showed MT in various bars.

Realizing that such photos could create negative perceptions on DC, MT called for a meeting immediately. Furious, MT told DC that he has an image to protect. As a famous celebrity, his fans could be very possessive and seeing DC with other ladies could make them lose interest. Worse, DC is the other half of a steady loveteam with Pretty Actress (PA). This image already limits his movements as far as being chummy with women in concerned.

Fans expect DC and PA to end up together in real life, and thus, DC has to maintain the illusion that he has feelings for PA even if he has to force it. His actions offcam should center on developing a relationship beyond friendship with PA. For example, if PA has her birthday coming, DC should be give her a romantic gift that fans will appreciate.

MT then appealed to DC to take care of his partnership with PA, and the least he could do is not go to as many bars whenever he has a light schedule. Instead of quietly accepting the proposition of MT, DC gave his reply, which shocked the people who heard him. Blatantly, DC said that he does not see the point of having to be boxed in and waste his youth trying to keep away from the public limelight. Further, DC stressed that he was conducting his job professionally and that the management should not meddle in his personal affairs.

The reply stunned MT. At this point, even if DC was defiant, MT could not just drop him because of his haughtiness. MT and PA have impressive box-office results and high value endorsements, as well. To drop MT means to drop a cash cow, which is something MT could not afford to lose.
