Failed Attempt at Breaking the Bond with the Network

Sometime during their careers, Talented Actress (TA) and Controversial Personality (CP) were given focus by their station and were positioned as important personalities. TA and CP are both homegrown and practically grew up and matured in the said network. In fact, CP started her career with the station when she was a child and resurfaced during her early teen years.

TA and CP were matched with the male talents of the network and these matches further made them popular. TA and her male partner amassed followers because they had chemistry and were talented. CP was partnered with singer actor, and later on, they did admit that they were an item.

While TA focused on her career, CP took a different path. As soon as she was gaining popularity, CP was entangled with a controversy that seemed to be quite ahead for her age. The tabloids quickly picked up the issue and the outspoken antagonist added to fanning the flame of the issue that CP’s camp wanted to die down. Soon after, rumors of her unbecoming behavior affected her sweet image despite being the other half of her popular loveteam.

Meanwhile, TA had to go solo when her male partner suddenly left the station to return to his network. Surprisingly, TA has a solid following and her projects rated well compared to other shows of talents at her level. With her awards and recognition for acting, TA secured her position among the royalty of stars of the network. When an unexpected event happened at the network, attention shifted away from TA. In a short span, TA felt that she was no longer being given as much attention by the network.

As TA and CP felt that they would not attain a higher level of popularity, they traversed a similar path. Reacting to the situation, their camps sent feelers to the rival station. Allegedly, TA even stated that she would not mind being relegated to supporting roles. The response of the rival station for TA and CP was similar, that is, the management was not interested.

Well, TA still has her shows and forthcoming projects. As CP seems to be a frozen delight, instead of sulking, she produced her own show, which is not aired on primetime. Now that the message is clear, TA and CP have no choice but to make do with their present situation, which is to stay put with their network.
