Making a Just Answer

“Your right ends where my 'new' nose's details begin,” is the best description of the response of a young actress (YA) in a press conference, which is part of the promotion of a movie. The press was briefed not to ask certain questions to the actors of the movie.
Of course, the press will always be the way they are, and at the risk of his/her reputation, a gutsy reporter will always ask the forbidden question in a way that is not too obvious, but will still get the valid reply if asked properly and only if the one asked goes for it. Hence, a gutsy reporter did direct the forbidden question to YA. Specifically, the press was instructed not to ask about the issue about the change in her face, or the “cosmetic surgery” issue.
Therefore, the gutsy reporter asked YA the name of the doctor who did her nose. Credit should go to the young actress in her attempt to avoid answering the question directly. Her reply was “It’s too personal. Next question, please.” She suddenly pulled an 'Anne Hathaway' on the reporter!
Did YA have a nose job? Will her press release say it is just the effect of good make up and lighting? At any rate, YA should not hide the fact if she did have a nose job as her network is known for having talents undergoing transformations either through surgery or through workout for them to look better. However, hardly anyone in local showbiz admits to having surgery, anyway.

The Take of a Fishwife

One day, in one of her teleserye's taping days, Snooty Actress' SA scene would be a fight with a Co Actress CA. Preparations were made, instructions were given as to how the delicate scene would be properly executed.
Before the take, as the scene between SA and CA was very physical, both parties as well as the production staff were apprehensive. It was quite understandable since in scenes like this, it can not be completely avoided that one or both will get hurt no matter how careful the execution is.
When the camera started rolling, it was obvious that SA was getting more beatings from CA, and SA got really hurt. After each take, CA would apologize to her and SA would acknowledge. Everyone heaved a sigh of relief thinking they wouldn't have problems with SA. How wrong they were!
After they were done with all the fight scenes, SA went straight to her dressing room with her assistant in tow -- and there she let out her pent up volcanic rage! In full motor-like fashion, she recited a litany of angst directed towards CA.
SA ranted in Filipino," PI nya! Ang baho-baho ng bibig nya,di muna mag-mouthwash bago mag-take! Amoy pusit na amoy, amoy p** p** (referring to the female genitalia) -- di ko ma-take! PI nya ang baho!
Uh-oh, there you go. May I please go to the powder room?

Family Secrets Revealed
While we watch soap operas for the drama, we often empathize with the underdog and cheer on whenever the lead character is able to traverse all the obstacles. The audience always loves to see how the rich crumble in these telenovelas. In the case of this wealthy clan, their lives are intertwined with events that can rival the best of these soaps.
As a well-known and well-admired clan, this family has dealings that are not showy or clouded in doubt. In fact, the family is closely-knit, and never has there been a scandal that made the headlines of newspapers. Of course, amidst the fame and wealth, the scandals are well kept secrets. For example, one of its scions (OS) died of mysterious circumstances but stories of alleged drug overdose pervaded at that time. His untimely death abruptly ended a blooming and promising political career. While everyone thought this scion left the world quietly, rumors have it that he left a child.
While this child has now grown, hardly did this child enjoy any recognition from the alleged father’s family. The mother is an ordinary woman who does not seem to have any lineage nor wealth to boast of at that time. Hence, the family allegedly never acknowledged the situation, but never did they deny anything as the affair between the mother and OS was out in the open at that time.
Is this the family secret that would haunt the political career of another scion (AS) of the said family? For the superstitious, is this the family secret that will prevent AS from achieving the position that he has been aspiring? If indeed the child is that of the late scion, should not the family recognize the child’s existence?
