Teach Me How to Act!

A pretty actress PA was said to have flared up while shooting for her latest tv commercial. She was behaving badly like arriving very late in the shoot, as in 3 hours late! But that is not to be the gist of the story -- rather it was when she staged a walkout right in the middle of the shoot!

PA's latest endorsement is a beauty product. Shoot for its tv commercial (tvc) was set for two days. On those days, she would often come in late, and not in her best element. Of course, PA's demeanor took a toll not only on the project's logistics, but on the entire production as well. PA's every scene took several takes that stretched shooting time far too long, but not on her patience. She blew her top in the middle of the shoot, questioning everyone involved why the hell she had to do so many retakes of a scene.

Until she could no longer take it, went berserk and screamed (in tagalog) for all to hear, "I am not dumb! Do not make me dumb! I was a child star, been in this business far too long than anyone of you! We have done 25 retakes already for this one scene alone! This is stupid!"

All those present were horrified and panicked. And who wouldn't? The clients who were all foreigners were present in the shoot and witnessed all the commotion.

The feisty PA angrily added, " Tell those foreigners out there to come over here and make them do it infront of me! And be the one to teach me how to act! "

The poor staff wouldn't know what to do, and pleaded with PA that they had no choice but to do some more retakes, to the clients' satisfaction. It was then that PA walked out and left the set without a word. The horrified staff called PA's handler to get to her asap. The client was furious and threatened that if PA would not return, they will have to answer for everything and be made to pay for all the costs. Indeed, what PA did was a major production nightmare.

People are puzzled at her though. Not too long ago, she was a girl proclaiming to one and all how perfectly in love she was -- a walking doll in bloom. Then this?

This story is part of the previous bi posted here about a bloodied actor BA who is connected to a showbiz mover SM. BA and SM are linked together both professionally and personally.

For someone so young, BA's knowledge of the S word is quite huge. Turns out, a hunky model HM was the one who introduced and taught BA everything about the birds and the bees --- and much, much more. It was also with HM that BA did his 'practical' lessons about all the theories that he learned from him. Eversince BA had the awakening, it was never the same again. Having started early, and owing to his youth, BA is always hot and adventurous. He just can't resist the "call of the wild." He looks for it everywhere, and won't 't take no for an answer.

One day, during an out-of-town trip for a show's promotion where he was a part of, BA managed to escape from his group to answer a "booking" call. He met up with this cute chinese-looking guy CG who became his instant crush. Together they checked-in a hotel to consumate their intimacy. Throughout the entire engagement, BA was performance level for his crush. He made no stones unturned for CG's pleasure, as he really did not want to disappoint him. BA even allowed himself to be backdoored. It was so fierce and intense, and CG seemed to like it. When they were done, BA went back to his companions who were all bewildered with his whereabouts earlier. But BA acted very normally, making his group feel as if nothing happened.

But unknown to him, this CG is a model who turns out to have several showbiz friends, too, with whom he shared with his encounters with him. Oh well, in a world where they live, keeping anything a secret is like asking for the moon. Agree?

Actor's Attitude Leads to Job Loss

How should one deal with personal problems on a professional level? This young, teleserye actor TA has been acting strangely lately. He is accused of unprofessionalism, always being late in his engagements. At the grand press conference of his latest movie where he was one of the main cast, he was a no-show. The producer was so mad that she almost sued YA for failure to do his part for the movie's promotion. Media promo was a part of his contract.

TA resorts to all kinds of alibi's and excuses to justify his many shortcomings. TA's unprofessionalism had been getting on the nerves of people he works with. During rehearsal of a weekly show where he is part of, TA came in late and asked the production staff PS what his songs would be. PS was so pissed as all study songs of performers were already sent to them days ahead. PS complained to his handler who in turn said that she's helpless on him, and that she could not do anything anymore. Even TA's management seemed to have given up on him.

Latest casualty of TA's notoriety is his current teleserye, although still airing at present had been officially cut short by five weeks. Network unit head NH had to do it as its uncontrollable lead, who is at odds and uncooperative with the director and staff, continues to self-destruct. NH deemed it wise move to cut it before TA could cause further damage to the whole production. As a consequence, the whole team lost a sizable income (in talent fees, salaries, allowances) at a time when they need it most as the holidays is just a few days away. Hence, TA became their source of pre-holiday blues, what can be more frustrating?

One may ask: What has caused TA's sudden misbehavior? Heard from the grapevine that TA's being jilted by his girlfriend had a lot to do with his big turnaround. Seems like girlfriend was his security blanket for the most part of his thriving career. And now that she's gone, coldness is slowly setting in, literally and figuratively. Others say that he is hooked on certain substance.

Friends hope that TA wakes up soon. Competition in the business is very tough. No one waits for you, there are just too many takers. You maybe in-demand now. But one miscalculation will make you irrelevant tomorrow.

Fate or faith - what brought about Manny Pacquiao's loss?

Did Manny Pacquiao's devastating loss to Mexico's Juan Manuel Marquez send a strong message to the erstwhile pound-for-pound king?

Amidst the busy-ness of Christmas holidays, Manny has once again demostrated his magic to unite the nation to be witness to his greatness in the boxing ring. But sadly, the euphoria and the excitement died so fast towards the first half of Pacman's 4th fight with the Mexican. The manner of his loss was a very big upset, was totally unexpected, totally un-Pacquiao, having been knocked out cold and motionless in round 6.

The cameras caught the very tearful and hysterical Jinkee seeing her husband knocked out lying on the canvass. But more than that, was what the world witnessed -- the sight of the very powerful Pacquiao splattered face flat on the floor ... weak and defenseless.

People and observers who have suddenly turned boxing experts and life gurus were quick to give unsolicited analysis. What caused him to lose that fight?

- short preparation
- carelessness and too much confidence
- lack of focus
- fate
- all of the above

Among others, it was his faith, his allegedly leaving his Catholic religion that was the most controversial. It sent Mommy Dionisia going ballistic and blaming the born again Pastors for her son's misfortune. In the above situations, it is only Manny who has the final say what had gone right and wrong.

On the other hand, people will always have a say, to blame Pacman or to love and be proud of him inspite of. Whether he fights again or retire is his own business. But one thing is certain -- Manny Pacquiao is the only and the greatest Filipino boxer ever who gave us immeasurable pride as Filipinos!

The Swell-headed is Now a Walkout Queen

After some of its stars were negatively written about and attacked for their unprofessionalism, a major network MN decided to make them undergo a short course on Personality Development. The purpose of which was to help the stars boost their confidence, develop their skills and essentially, for them to learn the fine etiquettes and manners as required, both personally and professionally.

Many stars were present at the seminar. Among other things, the mentor cited that having a pleasing personality does not only refer to physical features but more importantly, in the way you present and conduct yourself. Everyone gave their full attention. In one of the topics, the speaker cited as example the young star YS, who staged a walkout on the set of her latest project claiming that she was already too tired to continue. YS got irritated upon hearing that she was being talked in such a manner. And thus she did not take it sitting down -- literally and figuratively. In her own fashion, she stood up and did a walkout -- the second time around.

YS' fellow stars were like raising their eyebrows as if asking themselves what had become of YS lately and why was she acting up that way? Their feelings were understandable because they saw YS as a young upstart, very nice and accommodating. Has her perceived success eaten her up so soon?

At a recent concert of a big foreign celebrity, YS was interviewed and asked why she had herself registered in a far away city to be able to exercise her right to choose in a few months time. YS got pissed with the question and in a raised voice heard by many, blurted out in Filipino, " Excuse me! Will you please just leave me alone and allow me to do whatever I like? Okaaay?!"

Who was it who said: FAME can be very toxic. It can turn a shy upstart into a monster in six months.

Indeed, YS has definitely levelled up. Say you, dear readers?
