A Generous Gift

It is past one in the morning and I just got home from an intimate dinner. Thanks to GG and PN for introducing me to your friends. Thank you very much to AN for being such a gracious host. I would also like to thank AN, CE and LE for being so warm and friendly. I hope to see you guys again very soon.

I will be leaving for Europe later this week and I have not finalized our flight and hotel bookings yet. I have to book our EU flights on Edreams in a while. I normally use this website because it accepts credit cards issued in the Philippines. As for hotel bookings, I prefer Booking.com because the reviews posted on this site are very helpful.

Talking about travelling, today's story took place when this actor was overseas for a show with some celebrities from his family network. He went shopping for a designer watch that he intended to give to his girlfriend as “pasalubong”. When he showed the watch to one of the actresses who was on the trip with him, he felt bad for her when he heard her say “Your girlfriend is so lucky. No one ever gives me anything.” Right there and then, the actor gave the watch to the actress as a gift without thinking twice.

I wonder if this actor ever told his girlfriend that he gave the watch that he bought for her to another actress. I am sure that she will be very insecure when she finds out about this. I just hope that she does not attack the actress on Twitter after reading this story.

The Early Girl tomato is very popular because of its early fruit ripening. Just like this type of tomatoes, this naive looking actress ripened at a very young age.

She first fell in love with one of her co-stars a few years ago when they were shooting for a television series. This co-star was supposed to be her main leading man on that show but the network chose this other actor of questionable sexuality because he had more following. Due to the network's decision, they had to keep their relationship a secret because this might ruin her love team with this other actor.

Their secret relationship at that time was a rather serious one because the two of them were practically living together in a condominium located somewhere near the television network. She even made him promise not to tell anyone regarding their secret living situation. Eventually, their secret romance ended because this actor could not stand the actress being overly friendly with the other hot actors in the network.

Mapikon, Talo! (Not a Good Sport!)

Incidentally when this opinionated television host was on leave a few months ago, he learned that his co-hosts went on air discussing his break-up. After learning about this, he immediately made an irate phone call to the executive producer (EP). He repeatedly cursed the EP despite his best effort to explain to him that it was just natural for his co-host to about about the issue since it was the hottest showbiz news item at that time. Offended by the host's cussing, the EP reported the incident to the higher management that led to his temporary suspension on the show.

When he arrogantly showed up at work in spite of his suspension, his co-hosts were not really minding him. No one was on his side because everyone on the show agreed that what he did to the EP was foul and unacceptable. The co-hosts were even more irritated when he behaved like a bear with sore and kept ranting "_ _ _ _, I hate this job!" before the show was about to air. His co-hosts and the production staff gave him the cold shoulder for a few weeks to teach him a lesson.

It is somehow ironic that this host enjoys bashing other people but it would be like a red flag to a bull whenever other people talk about him. If he were onion-skinned, he should therefore consider resigning from the show.

Letter From a Reader: Girl from the South in the Different Wavelengths Story Speaks Up

Dear Fashion Pulis,

First of all, I would like to congratulate your for your achievements. Your ability to whet the ever-growing esurience of your numerous readers, including myself! To tell you frankly, my businessmen friends (100% male, serious, no-nonsense DAW) are your avid readers and fans! So keep up the good work.

I am writing to you because my friends talked about your post last June 27, 2011, entitled Different Wavelengths. Some of my friends told me that they saw my name there, and so I went back to read it and saw this blind item about the actress and the expatriate

I would only like to clarify a few things:

1. You did not mention a name, but you alluded to the “girl from the South,” and while some friends insist that it is me, I don’t think that I am the only girl the expatriate befriended from the South. I do admit that I went out with him, five times to be exact, but everything was platonic. This was why I got bothered by some of the comments that said, “sexually stimulating,” and “could not resist the Latino charms,” etc. So I am not so sure if I am really the girl from the South that you were referring to.

2. I am writing also to defend the actress. I am glad she did not continue her relationship with him, not because I am jealous or anything but because our trysts were mostly professional. I met him in the office when he and his partner were interviewed by my team. Yes, I admit that we did go on a few dates but there was nothing more than that because of the following reasons:

• Ang sama ng ugali niya! I am so sorry, I don’t know how to better express this, but it is very true, HE IS AN ATHEIST. A CHAUVINISTIC ATHEIST! (Lol, sounds like he dumped me, huh.) Anyway, he thinks so highly of himself, and demands for things. 

• He talks about having sex as if we were just going to the grocery, and tells me that I am a dork, that he pities me because I just cannot do it. (I am not saying I am a holy virgin here, but I have to be comfortable and in love with someone before I do it, and not because he demands it from me.) 

• Last week, he tried to meet up with me. So I said yes. And then the next day, I texted him if it was a GO. He did not reply so it was cool, I know he is a busy guy. Then the next day, he was all accusing me that I could not stick to my word, bla bla bla. I told him he didn’t reply. He insisted that he did, and then I said I always respond to everyone, and then ended up blaming the service provider. Anyway, he is a condescending person that is maybe why his many girlfriends left him, if it is true that they really did leave him. 

• Believe me or not, his breath stinks. And he wonders why I couldn’t kiss him. You can ask the actress, he may be intellectually stimulating at first, but that is all there is to it… LOL.

So there, it’s just too bad that his Latino charms did not work on me, because he is too condescending and believes that he did our country a favor when in fact, we did the company he represents a favor.

PS: The only person I know he had a sexual relationship with is this certain talent from brotherhood network who joined a VJ search. He also goes around telling people that she is a PSYCHO.

Big Things Come in Small Packages

It seems like things are getting more and more serious between these two television hosts. One time, when the father of this male TV host was hanging out with his friend, he told him that his son is having a new house built because he and his girlfriend plan to settle down soon. Upon hearing this, the clueless friend asked the father "How long have they been together?" The father was dumbfounded with the question so he suddenly blurted out "Didn't you know that he replaced his old girlfriend with a new one?"

If this were the case, this female host should stop denying that she was the cause of the break-up between the male host and his former girlfriend. It is true that their obvious difference might be awkward for some people but this does not seem to bother the female host because she is a firm believer in the saying "Big things come in small packages."

Incidentally, was Ricky Lo referring to the former girlfriend of this host in his Funfare article yesterday? He mentioned that she and another actor were spotted exchanging stolen kisses in the Business Class section of a flight from Vancouver. Do you guys have an idea as to who the actor was?
