Got to Move On

After all the hard work he has done in his career, Creative Performer (CP) found himself in a “you cannot sit with us moment.” Over the years, CP has managed to step out of his family’s shadow and build a career based on his own merit and talent. At the peak of his career, CP’s projects, such as concerts, movies, and television shows, were hits, and at that time, he had everything at his fingertips, so to speak.

Sadly, CP was unable to reinvent himself, which is key to remaining in the business. Worse, his bad habits grew to the point of affecting his career and reputation. His contemporaries who valued their hard work and relationships with networks and managements started to pull away. In a snap, CP lost his appearances, programs, and even the affection of his network. His professional career was at a downtrend. Nonetheless, his family life seemed to be the going well, as per social media posts.

When CP finally decided to make a major move, his fans and friends were happy for him, as he had opportunities to once again showcase his talents. Then, without warning, a leakage in social media placed him in the gossip columns and although his name created a buzz, it was not out of something positive.

After the controversy died down, CP was back once again in the showbiz pages and this time, his followers had mixed feelings. CP lamented how he seemed to have been left out in the cold and did not know why. The people behind the decision opted to keep quiet in public. However, according to the grapevine, the reason for the non-inclusion is the controversy CP found himself in. The project that did not consider him was wholesome and the people behind it were afraid that the negativity CP earned will affect public perception.

Sadly, CP’s woes were not over. Even though messages about his sentiments were removed, the management was not pleased, as they decided to put on hold his projects. Allegedly, a memo is circulating informing talents that involvement in distasteful videos might result in cancellation of contracts and projects.

While the first can be forgivable after letting a few months pass, repeating the same offense in almost the same period would deem major decisions on the part of management. Recently, CP was allegedly involved in a similar incident. Whether it was intentional, just like a rebelling stage, no one knows. The public is getting embarrassed for his family, especially as his kids are at an age when they can start families of their own.

All is not bleak for CP once he gets his act together. He had friends in the industry who will support him and fans who have been waiting for his next projects. He has too much talent to be wasted. If only he obeys rules, then things might change.

“When you disobey the rule, you sell your freedom. You cripple your real you. The daily direction of your life is restricted and directed by the rule and the ruling” -  Ernest Agyemang Yeboah
