Hell week for what? ego tripping niyo?! 3 years dun sa same resort.
Pwede din yan maconsider as hazing. Mas kulong yun.
Prestige my dear. Kung ateneo graduate ka, totyal ka. Sabi sabi pa nga noon, mga aplikanteng ateneo graduate, wala nang exam, interview and all. Diretso na hired with a promise of good position sa mga companies
That is not true. But if exclusive school graduate may advantage. Sila muna yun nasa group A ng mga resume for interview. Yun mga di exclusive next group kung sakalai wala makapasa sa group A which is a slim chance na wala pumasa.
Totoo ang prestige ng Ateneo. But it's starting to shift. Pansin ko, a lot of employers are hiring from state universities within MM and outside it. Also Benilde is very well-liked nowadays.
Its sad when the standards are clearly mediocre kung sa Asian Universities ndi man lang naka top 10 ni isa sa mga University natin. How good is it actually???
Coming from a family with ties to HR , top tier schools are a factor in hiring because of prestige, their graduates are more assertive and more prepared. Connections/ red tape/ nepotism, even HR can’t touch you if you know the right connections because HR still reports to their bosses and colleagues. The rest of you got your job because of merit, past work experiences, good grades etc. so congratulations!
12:48 you totally nailed it. 8:00 sorry to disappoint you but top tiered companies prefer graduates of Ateneo then LA Salle not UP. UP graduates lack that charming personality. Maybe because of being too casual in its environment. Proctor n Gamble is an Ateneo country while San Miguel used to a La Salle country. But nowadays, even in the US, companies are now more concerned about the attitude of its applicants/employees.
UP Diliman grad here - before I graduated, I already applied for work. Subject to my graduation date, I had job offers. My UP education opened doors for sure. Diliman makes for great academics, lawyers, politicians and leaders. Some graduates also go back to their roots in thenprovinces, choosing to develop there and contribute to changes. Yan ang meritocracy. For a bit I worked as a resesrch assistant to a foreign academic in Ateneo - I can definitely compare the pedagogy between the 2 universities. Ang mga isko at iska, they know the challenges of life. Most ADMU students are pampered kids, bihira ang mga iskolar at anak mahirap. Advantage nila may connections na ang mga pamilya nila for work, or they work sa family business. Both unis have their own pros and cons but Diliman is still ranked higher in global rankings.
1:15 is right. I am an HR professional who came from UP. Most hiring managers prefer candidates from Ateneo. Even the internship and management training programs prefer Atenistas over UP grads. And to be honest, I see its because most UP students lack the comms skills and confidence that Ateneo students have.
1:29 Good for you. But sadly, not everyone agrees with you. There are other succesful people na di naman graduate sa pinagmamalaki mong school.
this reminds me of my friend. her boyfriend committed suic!de and his parents and entire clan blamed my friend. nagpunta pa din sya sa burol maski ang pait ng treatment sa kanya. i think that is the right thing to do.
10:51 kaya nga reckless, because he did not think of the possible negative outcomes and he, as the head coach, did not put together measures to counter act possible risks. wala siyang risk mitigation. these are lives of athletes you are putting in danger. inalam sana nila ang riptides. sinabihan sil ng result na di dun safe. tuloy pa rin sila. reckless imprudence resulting to homicide. negligence, endagerment.
Sino ba nmang nasa tamang pag iisip na magtraining in open waters. Hindi rin first time na may muntik ng malunod sa training nya but inulit pa ulit. He should be accountable.
Coach, pwede naman mag foster ng brotherhood and camaraderie sa players mo without trying to torture and kill them in the process. Ateneo management is also very much liable dahil pinayagan pa rin nila mag bootcamp to kahit may muntik na malunod dati.
Madali namang kumuha ng medics and life guard. Sobrang frustrared special forces soldier seguro tong taong to.
Naturally - a tragedy is not something you want. Kaya nga dapat may risk assessment di ba? Pero 4 nalunod, 2 paray. There is liability here and at least in that team, the buck stops with him.
Hoy! Manghuhusga talaga kami. What happened was so preventable. Even sa funeral parlor walang sumama. Nakakainsulto and nakakabastos.
1:31 Saglit pa lang sa kanila (not even a week) si Rene and 1-2 years pa lang ata si Divine. Parang di pa sya close sa kanila, lalo na kay Rene kaya may disassociation at mukhang walang masyadong guilt other than napahamak yung boot camp nya na di nya na pwedeng ipagawa ulit.
Ateneo is just all branding now apprently its an entity now that lost its soul it doesn’t have a soul now, no humanity. Is it still run by humans? Or AI na lang.
11:11 huh?
This. May issue din sila with some Rockwell residents because of community cats. Pinatanggal bigla ni Ateneo yung mga cat feeding station and bigla sabi sila na magpapakain but most likely gusto nila iligaw and isako yung cats sabi din ng students
2:21 naturalmente - nasa stages of grief ang nanay at pamilya nila. Loss is so painful that people can literally die of a heartache. You caused them tonlose their treasured son, you should do everything you can to make amends up to and inckuding damages and pananagot sa harap ng hustisya.
Let's stick to the issue pls. Emotional agad just because of his shirt. And no, I am not defending the coach's actions ha.
IT'S BLACK SHIRT DAY FOR THE VIGIL. Parang napadaan lang sya tapos "Sige na nga, makiki-vigil na rin" kasi if he intended to be there, then he would have worn BLACK. Gusto nyang makita syang nasa vigil kaya nag-iba ng kulay. Performative 🙄
Really 6:31AM "Gusto nyang makita syang nasa vigil kaya nag-iba ng kulay. Performative" - how did you know this? Close kayo ni Coach & AdMU people? Masyado kang assuming and puro speculation. LET'S STICK TO THE ISSUE - paano magkakaron ng hustisya sina Rene and Divine.
Same reak. What did theyndo that they killed her son? Ang galit umaapaw...you want her to be a saint? No shebis going through stages of grief. I would let her vent.
As simple as that, liable sya. I would say kung yung mga players mismo ang pumunta ng kusa sa dagat and napahamak then i would say baka mas hindi sya liable but still as the one who organized the event, kahit papano meron pa din liability as the leader. Kahit nga driver ka and na accident talaga, liable ka talaga as the driver..naaral ko yan sa basic law and i always remember that
Best thing to do is ilaglag na nila yang coach na yan dahil sya naman talaga may kasalanan. The more na protektahan nila, the more wala na silang integrity and power.
Deadly pla beach don .
hindj ako grad ng Ateneo kung tutuusin community college ako grad and stock holder ang family namin and meron kami Applicants from Ateneo in short they work for me lol
How would you feel if your most beloved son died just like that in a senseless tragedy. Don't make demands of them, they are entitled to ask questions, to feel horrible, to grieve their loss, to question why, to get angry. Put yourself in their shoes.
Haven't you seen the interviews with Divine's father? They are demanding answers. His mom hasn't stopped crying since Monday. Do not invalidate Rene's family's reaction just because Divine's family isn't here.
Go coach Tab!!! Lilipas din yan the families will forgive you but just now face the conseuqnces dont lose hope i know we know nobody wants that to happen.
Kung ako yung magulang, I will demand 100 million pesos from Ateneo kapalit ng buhay ng anak ko...maliit na ito kasi kasama na rito yung nawalang kikitain ng anak throughout his life if he becomes a professional athlete...Ateneo is in deep trouble.
Hold him accountable!!!

ReplyDeleteGo coach Tab!!! Lilipas din yan the families will forgive you but just now face the conseuqnces dont lose hope i know we know nobody wants that to happen.
ReplyDeleteKung ako yung magulang, I will demand 100 million pesos from Ateneo kapalit ng buhay ng anak ko...maliit na ito kasi kasama na rito yung nawalang kikitain ng anak throughout his life if he becomes a professional athlete...Ateneo is in deep trouble.
