    1. Dahil may fact of death.

    1. but it’s preventable that is the point, kasi alam naman delikado ang open waters for training

    2. 10:19 Then they should have made sure na walang mamamatay by keeping the training within reasonable difficulty. 7 days na kahit cellphone bawal? What do they need to hide so keep the kids from contacting anyone? Definitely there was power play in that activity--maybe the coaching staff led by this man was trying to impose absolute authority by somewhat torturing the players. And now he's feeling the loss of power instead because of what happened.

    3. Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Homicide (Article 365 of the Revised Penal Code) is a criminal offense penalized even when there is no intent to harm. It occurs when an individual causes another's death through a clear lack of precaution—such as negligence, carelessness, or failure to exercise necessary skill.

      Paki read repeat po 5x!

    4. It could have been prevented by doing aqua training in a swimming pool or in calm waters like Batangas. Parang hazing yung ginawa.

    5. 1019 Syempre walang may gusto..Pero ang tanong: Did he exercise prudence and precaution while conducting the training to ensure na wala nga mamatay?..Parang gusto mo na rin sabihin kunwari may namatay dahil na OD sa illegal drugs, hindi nya balak mag unalive pero he was reckless by taking them..He still did it to himself..kaya ganito rin,the coach IS RESPONSIBLE BECAUSE HE WAS RECKLESS .

    6. DAPAT TALAGA MAY MANAGOT.

BAKIT KAYA HINDI NILA NASURVIVE NO? SAME TRAINING LANG NAMAN DAW SA PAST. WALA NAMANG NAMATAY.

    7. 1037..tama ka.and he is grieving over the potential loss of his coaching career in the Philippines..A Php700k salary is above average, ewan lang of he can still get that kind of compensation elsewhere after this incident..

  5. Sa mga hindi nakakakilala kay Coach Tab, we understand your anger. No amount of apology, no words can bring back the lives of Rene and Divine.

    1. It’s their arrogance and negligence kaya yan nangyari,
ika nga ang maling akala ay nakakamatay!!
Next time ivolunteer mo muna sarili mo or kamag-anak mo sa ganyan kalalang training in open waters, tignan natin if makakaulit ka ng kuda!!

    6. 11:22 I sympathize with the family. I can't imagine their grief. Pero hindi naman masamang tao si Coach Tab i if you only knew him personally.

    7. Mga keyboard warriors grabe. I sympathize with the family din pero hindi ako para icrucify ang tao dahil lang hindi niya naforsee ang danger. I bet he had all the best intentions para sa future ng mga athletes na yun. Ang perfect nyo naman.

      Delete
    8. 1143..Baka hindi masamang tao pero IRRESPONSIBLE, RECKLESS AND ARROGANT..Call it whatever u want but it led to the death of 2 young players with very bright futures ahead.

    9. PAGKAKAMALI NYA LANG?!? LANG!!??? G*go ka ba?!? Lang??? May namatay!! Nilalang mo. May namatay nga!!

Not to mention the earthquake early that morning was all over the news and online.

Halos kaedaran lang ng mga anak ko sina Rene at Divine so I really feel for their families, most especially their mothers. Wag mo nang ipagtanggol yang coach na obviously GINUSTO namang gawing delikado yung activity to begin with.

      Delete
    11. 11.38 jail time is what he deserves. saka sa mga nagsasabing mabait naman si coach, o e ano? same lang yan pag nag drive ka tapos naka aksidente ka at namatay. di ba kulong ka din dun kahit mabait ka at wala ka naman intention pumatay. ganun ang analogy.

      Delete
    12. @12:19 are you for real? binabalewala mo 2 buhay na nawala kasi di lahat perfect kamo? pano kung nangyari sa pamilya mo sasabihin mo pa din yan?! 🤯

      Delete
    13. Ikaw na rin nagsabi without safety precautions so meaning may negligence

      Delete
HE IS AWARE OF THE DANGER. kahit nga ako na twice pa lang nag baler alam ko na taon taon may nalulunod dun as per the locals

      Delete

  6. I get the outrage of other people pero yung iba aminin sobrang oa ng reaction.

    2. What he did was totally reckless. He sounds like a man with sadistic tendencies. Deserve nila lahat ng hate.

      Delete
    3. Sabihin natin reckless pero thats also different from wanting the boys to die intentionally. Wag kayo magalit kay 11:02! I do agree that he is accountable but I also get the comment. I also believe that Tab did not want the boys to drown to death

    4. 1027..If u are a parent, tsaka mo sabihin yan kung mangyari sa sarili mong anak .

    1. Wala kasing accountability.

      Delete
    4. 12:23 Napanuod mo ba yung rescue videos?

    6. 12:23 in a GMA news segment, a lawyer discussed the applicstion of RA 365 - this case applies, including anti-hazing. Anti-hazing is not.limited to frats - any organization in schools and even outside of school na kailangan na abusado at lakas ang endangerment sa nais maging parte ng kupunan to the point of injury or death ay pasok. Sa RA 365 naman, any activity or actions that result to death because of reckless endangerment , even without motive, ay liable sa criminal case ng RA 365.

    7. HARD AGREE. Naglabasan mga armchair lawyers. May comments pa na "If you're a parent, etc". Masakit mamatayan ng kapamilya - whether anak, asawa, etc. Mga netizens gigil sa comments. Akala mo kapamilya ng namatayan. Gusto accountability. Sino kayo - Diyos? Police? The law?

  11. Since 2022, Ateneo has not qualified for finals. Time to change the coach, "I think".

    ReplyDelete
  12. It is not just him to blame, but the entire Ateneo Basketball staff and the Ateneo Admin as well who allowed this practice to happen. Sana man lang, they took precautionary measures before allowing the staff to do this, like at least may medical team na kasama, or at least they assigned someone to make sure that the coaching staff are being careful.

    ReplyDelete

So asan yung coaches? Sana yun ang nilinaw.

That shouldn’t have taken so long. Grabeng training routine yan dinaig niyo pa ang FIBA World Cup

    ReplyDelete
  15. Tingin ko lang ha kaya natagalan magsalita si Coach and in the meantime panay naman post ng school ay dahil "under negotiation".From the looks of it, accountable din talaga ang school but they might be making a deal with the coach na instead pati school madamay pa,ay ipaako nalang lahat sa kanya like he overdid things beyond what the school allowed for this training. Syempre in exchange,he will be extended all the legal support he needs etc and in the end, syempre may pabaon pauwi..
The absence of transparency makes the entire situation "scripted".kaso di pa na finalize ang script.Parang " place ard holder" lang muna, masabi lng na cooperative and sorry.

  17. Remove Ateneo from UAAP
    Investigate the whole incident

Please lets not forget this incident.

  18. Apology accepted. Accountability expected.

  19. Wag palaruin ang Ateneo basketball team this year sa UAAP. Palitan lahat ng coaching staff- lahat sila. All of them should resign.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Ban Ateneo in UAAP for at least 10 years
Compensate the family with at least 150M
Pay for all the siblings’ education until college
Ban the coach in all of PH basketball
Suspend the rest of the coaching staff
    Jail everyone accountable

Then we can say justice has been half served!

  21. 2 kids dead, 2 more injured. Reckless imprudence leading to homicide. No need for motive, just that your risk mitigation, site assessment and absence of elements to combat risk (i.e. medics, lifeguard) has led to those casualties (deaths and injuries). The buck, Baldwin, stops with you. Their lives will never ever be returned. Rene and Divine's spark are forever gone. How will you compensate for that? For the grief you caused? For the teauma that comes? You can't. You have bloods on your hands.
