DeleteIn America and other countries, there is a #Me Too movement, a global campaign against sexual harassment, abuse and rape culture. Majority of men in the world especially in Hollywood are abusive and sexist towards women especially boss and directors and producers.
In Hollywood and other countries, they will put on you on a blacklist with lawsuits and You will be OUT of work, if your do not respect women. Nowadays, women even the good and kind-hearted women are going to speak up and NOT will tolerate touchy, physical and mind games and sexual advances because those are types of abuse.
Be a good and kind man, Derrick. Ask forgiveness and make amends. Do not disrespect women. Think about the women in your family.

Kapag may parties ang mga previous employers na pinagtatrabahuhan ko noon, some men will take advantage of it by being drunk and by physically touching me, andiyan yung halik sa pisngi na hindi beso, yung yakap na hihigpitan sa bandang chest area ko etc. Years passed, different employers, I can see the pattern. Two years ago ang pinaka malala na one guy colleague was trying to get in to my room (provided ng employer yung hotel rooms samin), he was so drunk that he didn't realize that he was harming me physically which resulted to scratches and bruises the next day. He was apologetic the next day cause I told him what happened.. I decided not to pursue any legal actions dahil part of us women, we always feel guilty and we always think it's our fault. Okay naman ang suot ko, wala naman akong pinakitang malaswa sa galaw ko. I didn't want any fuss, plus the guys has three children, I feel for the kids if he end up getting fired.
ReplyDeleteSince then, I stopped drinking. Since then, I don't want to be around people who are so drunk dahil I am scared of their actions. As the day goes by after the party bumalik paunti unti lahat ng nangyari and I remember how shocked and frozen I was during the time that he was grabbing my wrist and trying to drag me somewhere dark. I couldn't talk when he was touching my leg and trying to lean his head on my shoulder. (mind you, my friends became alarmed and saw the act, they then hid me from him. I told them not to tell any managers)
I shared my experiences for those who are so judgemental of women whenever we try to fight our battles. Those who victim blame us, you are the reason why I didn't purse a legal case against the colleague who violated me. I never wish this to anyone, but I don't think you will ever understand how it feels to be violated, whether it's physical or verbal.
That’s your side of the story. You probably didn’t pursue a case because there’s no case to pursue or you don’t have evidence to support your claims.
DeleteI have pictures of my bruises and my scratches and if you comprehended my story, my colleagues saw the act and hid me from that culprit. I asked them not to report it. One of our colleagues had to forcely dragged him into his room due to his inappropriate behaviour.
