I'm in my 40s and I know her. I've known her since Ang Bagong Kampeon in the 80s. Di ko na nga lang naabutan yung height ng popularity nya but I heard her songs both Tagalog and Cebuano.
That is why Janine is making a documentary about Pilita so the younger generation will know something about our Philippine music history. Hindi puro KPop!
My daughter, who is 20 yrs old, knows her. She's an old soul kaya preferred nya mga music nuon kesa ngayon dw na puro covers lang ginagawa. Sa generation nya ngayon, she prefers indie music.
Also, marami pang buhay na ka batch nya. Eddie Gutierrez, whom they have a son together, is very much alive.
that kind of mentality is what derails society,. walang appreciation sa history not just of her life but how things were before and struggles of someone that made it big. ang hirap sa mga nega na medyo questionable ang laman ng utak lol
Just because you are ignorant about certain people or event, it doesn't mean they are unimportant- it just shows how uninformed you are. While words are free to be spoken, we should still strive to make every syllable that comes out of our mouth or keyboard kind and relevant. Otherwise, what a waste of space in the universe!
Wow. Pilita Corrales is the first international Filipino pop star. She has performed with the likes of Sammy Davis, Julie Andrews, the Beatles and others. She has recorded songs in Cebuano, Tagalog, Spanish and English. It is fitting that a documentary is finally going to be done about Pilita.
10:52 10:53 Ang point ay tigilan nalang kasi yung kesyo Shes the first Filipina like this like that kasi kastila nga sya.
Janine G. is the perfect actress to star in the re-make of "Super Gee" as penned by Zoila Meneses. The original was shown in 1973 under NV Productions.
Not a fan of Philippine cinema, pero excited for this. We need more films that tackle our history pero sana gawing entertaining pa rin. Most of our Pinoy's attempts at making documentaries are a bit too boring and bland kasi parang they're playing it too safe. Most of the time, the idea is there but the execution is all wrong.
i love my own😏
ReplyDeleteYou should too.
DeleteNo one loves you noh?
DeleteMalamang. And Pilita deserves it. 🙄

ReplyDeleteI don’t know if this generation have heard about her.
I'm in my 40s and I know her. I've known her since Ang Bagong Kampeon in the 80s. Di ko na nga lang naabutan yung height ng popularity nya but I heard her songs both Tagalog and Cebuano.
DeleteKaya nga that's the purpose.
Delete12:54 Exactly the point why she's doing the project - to introduce Ms. Pilita to the younger generation. Also, it is has, not have.
DeleteI am in my early 30s and bisaya kaya I know her. And yan nman tlaga ang purpose ng documentary diba? 😂
DeleteThat's the point of the documentary......
Delete1:09 kinorek mo pa Yung "have" sa "have heard" ni 12:54, e Tama Naman siya. Wala namang "has heard". Kaloka ka!

Delete2:16 PREACH! LOUDER!
DeleteWoooow
ReplyDeleteHow do projects such as this actually earn money??
ReplyDelete1:16 sometimes, it's not all about money.
DeleteIt’s not about the money. It’s paying tribute to someone who truly deserves it, especially when it is someone you care about.

ReplyDeletePilita is Spanish.
DeleteSi Akiko Thompson hindi Filipino pero brought a lot of honors for the country.
DeleteSo bawal na documentary about her?

DeletePilita's songs are internationally recognized, so yes, it's about time.
ReplyDeleteShe was not a pop star.
ReplyDeleteAnong point mo
DeleteSo?
DeleteThis would be a very good project. Sana this can be also done for other artists as well.

Deletecare’s mo ba
