What the fan did was wrong. But in my opinion, Rihanna should have known better than to resort to violence. There were huge guys guarding her. Maybe she should have just asked one of them to please do their job and protect her from the overzealous fan. I don't think that Rihanna handled this situation very well. It showed that she had no appreciation for her fans, however crazy they may be sometimes. She should realize that the person that she just hit with her microphone payed for a front row seat just to see her and probably didn't mean to hurt her.
