He is subject for audit of his assets, liabilities, capital, receipts, expenses and other income he had filed on his 2010 Financial Statement. Nothing to worry naman if proper yung declarations nia sa 2010 Financial Statement.

    2. This is a follow up letter to a Letter of Assessment (LOA). All companies/individuals who submit their Income Tax Returns to the BIR are subject to an assessment/audit. Nagbayad si Athlete ng tax but what the BIR is challenging here is its accuracy. When you receive a letter of assessment, you are required to submit the documents to support the taxes filed to the bureau or else they will just issue a subpoena para makuha nila yung records mo. The tax payer has the burden to prove that they declared and remitted the correct amount of tax to the government. After BIR review, the tax payer shall be given a chance to reconcile the variances noted per BIR's review vs the actual amounts declared by the taxpayer, they will issue a Preliminary assessment notice tapos Final Assessment Notice (eto na yung mga case-case).

  11. Hay naku ordinary request lang yan from BIR pag gusto ka nila imbestigahan just like any business na gusto nila i-audit kuno.

  14. I doubt this is an azkal... the letter is asking for docs sa taxable year of Jan 2009 to Dec 2010... sumikat sila on Dec 2010 when they beat Vietnam, prior to that there were no endorsements, just a very small allowance from PFF.. the manager even had to shoulder their plane tix for the tournament...

  16. Hay andyan na ang mga buwaya! Sorry to hear na pinagiinitan si askal or kamao ng mga buwaya. They don't have the b@!!$ to go after the big tax evaders so they bully those na kaya nila. Patawa lang, papogi points. Famewhores. just like their boss.

Hehe. :) This is a standard Letter of Authority, which means the BIR wants to inspection a person's (either natural or juridical)book of accounts to determine if the taxes he has paid is more or less equal to the income generated. normally, the BIR investigates high profile people who do not match income earned with the taxes they reported. case in point is this athlete, he has numerous endorsements just look at the billboards in Highway 54 and in his TV ads. of course, he generated income from such endorsements... the question is, did he pay the corresponding tax? :) --the other Mike

    1. And this is just an ordinary LOA no findings yet coming from the BIR.. high profile people usually gets this...

  18. duh! kakarampot lang ang kita ng kung sinong athlete na to compared to other tax evaders!

    ReplyDelete
  19. meh. nothing scandalous about it. if this is askal, they were preparing for a big match and trained outside of the country for a almost month last june and trained again in july in preparation against the next opponent. maybe that's why he missed it.

  20. I agree with some of the commenters here.

  21. Poor young fellow. He should ask his gf's manager to get him a good accountant. I'm sure he's not an evader, he most likely does not know how to fix his paperwork in this country. The BIR has wrong priorities, they should go after the politicians with real estate developments and who invest in offshore activities!

  22. eh diba maraming utang yang si aso pati family nya? kaya siguro di makapagbayad ng tamang tax kahit madami pa syang endorsements.

  23. dear anonymous feb 3 9:06pm more often than not walang basehan ang issuance ng LOA kungdi yung sa tingin ng mga taga-bir ay maglalagay ang taxpayer. in other words kahit gaano pa kalaki ang kita mo pero alam na ng bir na di ka nag-aareglo or naglalagay hindi ka na nila babalikan next year. pabilisan kasi don ng sarado meaning sarado ang kaso nabayaran ang examiner, huwag magdeny ang bir no! first-hand info ito.

  24. Future Bible ambassador/singer/ Lt. Col was model taxpayer for years like willing host and tactless host/actress. Moral: Pay your taxes honestly and you shall be rewarded.

    ReplyDelete
  25. eh standard document naman ito ng BIR, a reminder by the govt to pay taxes and comply with the law, doesn't necessarily mean naman na hindi pa nagbabayad. if the latter's the case, then that's the news.

  27. Bureau of Internal Revenue/ Kim Henares is turning out to be a BIG joke.

After tax evasion cases have been filed, Golden Taste Food Services still continues catering services to Bureau of Corrections (BUCOR) and intends to join future biddings.

BUCOR pre-bid Sept. 6, 2012 10am at BUCOR conference room administration building, I invite everyone to watch the circus.
