The 1st city is the financial capital of this country.
The 2nd city is the capital of this country.
The 3rd city is the capital of this country.
The 4th city is the capital of this country.
The 5th and last city is the capital of this country.
On Monday, some family members and I will be flying to Europe for a ten day vacation. In line with this trip, I am giving away a Longchamp Le Pliage Nylon Tote to one lucky reader who can identify the five cities that we will be vising on this trip.
Email the five cities in chronological order to micsylim@gmail.com with your name on or before April 22, 2011, 11:59 pm, Manila time and get a chance to win this prize. Each email address is only allowed one entry so in case you submitted several entries using one email address, I will automatically honor the most recent email. This also gives you a chance to supercede your previous answers. The winner's name will be picked from a bowl containing the names of the readers who got the five cities correctly. I also suggest that you follow micsylim on twitter to get additional clues.
Fashion PULIS has surpassed its 500,000 pageviews very and this is my way of expressing my appreciation to all of you. Even my closest friends B.C. and S.M. do not know where exactly we are going so this contest is open to everyone. I suggest you try your luck and participate because I might just end up giving away more than one Longchamp tote depending if I am feeling generous when I do my shopping in Europe. Also, let me clarify that the design and color of the Longchamp tote that will be given away might not be identical to the one shown in the photo above. It all depends on what is available in the Longchamp store. I will be waiting for all your entires and rest assured that this will be a very fair game. By the way, feel free to also post your guesses in the comment section so that you can get the inputs of the other readers. Happy guessing!

got 4 out of 5. clue for the 4th one!
ReplyDeleteI GOT IT ALL. :)
ReplyDeleteGOT. IT. hihiiiii
ReplyDeleteOoh, I do hope I win this! :)
ReplyDeletePlease note that the first city is the financial capital of that country and not the capital. Please do not be confused. =)
ReplyDeleteDear Stefan,
ReplyDeleteYou were really quick. I am impressed! If it is based on the first person sending the correct entry then you could have been the winner. Too bad we have to raffle all the correct entries. =) Thanks for joining. Hope you had fun.
is it just me, or the 4th gif won't load? :(
ReplyDeleteSalamat po, Mr. Lim. I am so friggin stoked, I'm actually ready to burn a neighbor's house just to win this. :P *SQUEE!*
ReplyDeleteFor the second city, do not forget to include the word city. If you don't then you are referring to the country and not to the city. =)
ReplyDeleteDear Stefan,
ReplyDeleteI admire your enthusiasm. I am lucky to have a passionate reader like you. If you do not win this, I will buy you a "pasalubong", promise. =)
Just emailed my answers! Have an awesome vacation!
ReplyDelete2nd and 4th are so hard, cant even identify the country
ReplyDeleteThe 2nd and 4th cities are cities that I am visiting for the first time. Every time I go to Europe, I make it a point to include a new city in my itinerary.
ReplyDeleteYey, salamat po! BUT I'M STILL GRITTING MY TEETH LIKE CRAZY. >:D
ReplyDeleteHave a safe trip and enjoy Europe!
Clues please for 2nd and 4th too. My map doesnt have them :(

ReplyDeleteMike, pde ba sumali ang wala sa Pilipinas?
ReplyDeleteYes, readers overseas are most welcome to join. I can always Fedex the tote in case the winner is from abroad. =)
ReplyDeleteThanks Mike. Pero mas mahal pa un bayad sa Fed-ex kaysa dun sa Tote. =) I'll just email you my answers.
ReplyDeleteIs it that expensive to Fedex a tote? Where are you from? You can still join. Cheers. =)
ReplyDeleteKapag contest, galit-galit ang mga readers. Haha. Sana parang blind item, maraming nagbibigay ng clues.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is. =) There's a Long Champs Boutique in Paris. We dont have one in Spain, but we can get them from their boutique inside the malls. I'm from Spain. Enjoy your european vacay! Cheers.
ReplyDeleteI normally buy my Longchamp from the boutique in St. Honore because it is closer to my hotel. I was in Madrid and Barcelona last September. Spain is my favorite country in Europe. Where in Spain are you from?
ReplyDeleteGrabe, 2nd nalang! Bakit ba hindi ko makuha yun! Got #4 na! Wah!
ReplyDeleteI noticed that no one is sharing clues unlike the blind items. So funny.
ReplyDelete@FP: No one is sharing clues for the sake of Longchamp.
ReplyDelete@Anon at April 12, 2011 2:21 AM
Wanna trade answers? I have #2. :D
Yeah, i know that place, how can i forget boutique 404 where i got my 1st Le Pliage (Medum, Small Handle). the place is very accessible from Metro, Concorde station if I'm not mistaken. I'm glad that spain is also your favorite country in Europe. I'm from Barcelona.
ReplyDelete@FP: All for the sake of Longchamp
ReplyDelete@Anon at April 12, 2011 2:21 AM
Wanna trade #4? I have #2. :D
Wow, I love Barcelona. One of my favorite cities in the world. I wish I knew you when I went there last September. I would love to go back soon. You are so lucky to be residing there.

ReplyDelete@FP: Make sure to pack light. Your maleta would be too heavy from shopping.

ReplyDeleteSana FP feels more generous and gives away more than one Longchamp Le Pliage. :)
ReplyDeleteIf Fashion PULIS reaches its 10,000,000 pageviews, I might just give away an LV Neverfull or Goyard St. Louis. But for now, let's focus on the Longchamp Le Pliage. =) ha ha ha.
ReplyDeleteCan't believe I overlooked number 4! :-/
ReplyDeleteWhen will you post the winners for this competition? :)
ReplyDeleteClue for 2nd- You'd think its part of a country cause of its name, but its a whole different state!
ReplyDeleteClue for 4th- Its on the map, but its too small to be seen ;)
I will be back from Europe on April 28. I think I should be able to post the winner on May 1. I just need a few days to recover from the jet lag. Thank you all for joining.
ReplyDeleteI am wondering how come I have not received any entry from my friends. Ha ha ha. Just got a few from my students though. This is so fun. I love sharing. =)

ReplyDeletethe 4th city is from a country I've NEVER heard of until this day. LOL!
ReplyDelete*tip for the 4th city: based on the image, it has 3 islands so obviously it's not in Central Europe :)
Goodluck! happy searching!

whew! finally got everything! sana tama. thanks for the heads up on number 4! ang hirap =)
ReplyDeleteemailed you my answers already. enjoy your vacation! =)
i had fun answering! thanks to the readers for their clues hehe
ReplyDeleteHi Mr. Michael Lim! This is a good game :) Sent my entry/answers. Goodluck to us! The most difficult is the 4th map..but thanks to the previous comments and hints.
ReplyDeleteHave a safe trip.
God bless.
FP, just a comment, i think you should have set an earlier deadline.
ReplyDeleteWhile the rest of us researched thoroughly to get the answers, the ones who submitted late got your first two cities already just by waiting for you to post photos and entries from where you are.
Just my two cents, i find it unfair. :(
Dear Anonymous,
ReplyDeleteI thought of it as a way to invite readers to view the travel posts. Don't worry, city no. 4 is the hardest and photos for this city will not make it within the deadline. That was also part of the plan. Good luck to all of you who sent your raffle.
Is the winner announced already?
ReplyDeleteNot yet. Soon, I promise. =)
ReplyDeleteWala pa :( Pati yung Vida.....
ReplyDeleteI just need more time because I received so many entries. I have to do them manually. FP has no assistant. =) Thank you for understanding.
ReplyDelete
