Just because this is Wimbledon Centre Court, there is an unwritten etiquette for dress code. Sa ibang tournament very lax pagdating dress code, but most of the followers and spectators of tennis are really those who can afford. It's a lifestyle thing.
Daming nakikisakay sa hype susmio. Swiatek is currently in slump and real tennis fans know that. She didn't even reach second week of Roland Garros a month ago, her favorite tournament. She also did not reach finals of any grass tournament prior to this. Not to diminish Alex's accomplishment pero mygolly, ni hindi nga naka-abot ng quarterfinals, tapos yung press coverage akala mo nanalo na ng Wimbledon. Susmaryosep, tigilan na kasi yung, hype. It's not helping her, promise. Give her space and time to grow, wag na bigyan ng unnecessary pressure. Nakakaloka kayo.
Hindi naman porket defending champion magaling na sya next season kaloka kung ma hype kay Alex. Na pressure tuloy ayan nabokya. Sana sa finals na lang mag celebrate kung makarating man sya
11:05 if you're following the tour, anyone in the top 30 can basically beat Swiatek right now with her poor form, and even her Wimbledon win last year was really out of nowhere since grass is her worst surface. I've seen enough tennis in my life to say that Alex is (currently) not grand slam champion material. I don't think she can even win a WTA1000 title in her career, and that's fine because she can still have a very successful career by racking up 250s and 500s titles and consistently reaching latter stages of slams. But then again is Schiavone and Pennetta have done it, maybe Alex can too. She can prove me wrong.
Very crab ka naman ate. Try mo naman maging proud sa kapwa Pinoy mo ke matagal ka nang nanonood ng tennis or bago lang. Ang pagkilala sa talento ay hindi nakakasama sa buhay.
Kournikova was actually very talented if not for her injuries and personal distractions. She reached Wimbledon semifinals at 16 years of age. Reach finals of Tier 1 events only to lose titles to Venus and Hingis. She retired almost the same age as Alex now.
It doesn’t matter if she defeated the defending champ if you can’t be a winner or even in SF still useless. The problem with her she lacks stamina. She got the best game of her life and expect that the next round she gets demolished. You can’t say she’s young blah blah bcoz many young players like Mirra became a champ at 19. Though she’s really is promising. Stamina na lang and mentality kulang
This sport is next level elite.. people watching in their coat and tie. Damn.
ReplyDeleteKaya nga d bagay ang mga jologs dyan. Kaso can afford na din sila lol

ReplyDeleteBut she was the defending champion and that made it so spectacular because Alex defeated her. Gets mo?
DeleteYup.
DeleteIkaw na te! Ikaw na true tennis fan.
DeleteSusme. Tanong, bakit nagkaroon ng hype??? Kasi may galing! Pag may galing may hatak sa tao. Kaya mas ok ng may hype kesa wala!
