DeleteFor those who don’t understand why this is important: here in the U.S. professors, teachers, and coaches are typically required to pass background checks and should not have a history of domestic violence, child abuse, sexual assault, or any other form of abuse. These safeguards exist to protect students. If Ateneo failed to properly investigate Coach Tab’s background before hiring him, then the institution may need to answer questions about whether it was negligent in fulfilling its responsibility to protect its students.

ReplyDeleteADMU was warned but they didn't listen. This is why in most Westen Countries, they also include extended background checks and psychological assessments before employment. Here in the UK, we have DBS (disclosure and barring service) checks where all your history is checked including legal issues/cases against you before employment. For schools, employees get EDBS (enhanced) that look further in, including medical/mental history. Employers want to know if you are fit mentally/behaviourally for your role in schools, for example.

Hindi character assassination, exposing his true colors. Noon pa the school was warned of his behavior that shows his character which could be harmful for students. Hindi bitter ang wife. Even ang kaibigan nagsasabi na kung ano si coach. Predator and it could be a disease, a sickness.
