Most people (the public) do not take actors in a loveteam seriously as actors but sees them as a celebrity because all they do is to make sweet gestures and love language which doesn't challenge the actors skills. If she didn't burn brudges, she could still pursue hollywood work without leaving Philippine showbiz. She can take ads, small projects here that pay well and still show up in auditions and live most of her life in the US. She had that privilege. Instead, she made a mess of it. For sure, Ogie D. could have made that work for her. It wasn't a well executed exit or plan. Her sabings from Pinas shownbz will eventually erode. Does she has investments? Property? Is she a thespian? Talented enough to rise from the hollywood wannabes all applying for the same job?
She needed to have done this hollywood pursuit wisely. She needs support, a back up plan and a fallback. She appears to have none just doing whatever she feels like.
It will take a long time for her to make a name in hollywood. Her face is just ordinary here. If she is appealing and has talents and characters or have good connections, it might be a different story. One or two movies doesn't mean continues offers in the future. Very few asian achieved successful career in hollywood and those asians who make it in hollywood are really, really really good in their job as an actor and very talented. Just like a lot of our kababayans too who are doing well financially in the Phl but chose to move abroad for various reasons. We all have to start from scratch again. But it is a different sense of freedom and accomplishment on the many things that you can do in the US. Living abroad ( or wherever you may be) is definitely character building. And sometimes, that is more than enough to offset whatever it is you are missing out in your life in RP. More power to you, Liza Soberano!

Her main concern is to how to get continuous offers from American movies or TV series.
Unlike in Philippines, for newbie actors, everyone will go through arduous auditions but when you become popular, the movie and TV offers are tied with your agency which is connected to the network which gives you a consistent work.
In Hollywood, if your name is not big enough or you are a sidekick, you will continue to line up for movie and TV auditions frequently like everyone else and gets tons of rejections.
Hollywood will not give you a movie or TV projects unless you become a "household name" with bankable records. But even those who are "popular" or "known", they also continue to audition for movie and TV roles. Hollywood is very stiff

She can take ads, small projects here that pay well and still show up in auditions and live most of her life in the US. She had that privilege. Instead, she made a mess of it. For sure, Ogie D. could have made that work for her. It wasn't a well executed exit or plan. Her sabings from Pinas shownbz will eventually erode. Does she has investments? Property? Is she a thespian? Talented enough to rise from the hollywood wannabes all applying for the same job?

If she is appealing and has talents and characters or have good connections, it might be a different story. One or two movies doesn't mean continues offers in the future. Very few asian achieved successful career in hollywood and those asians who make it in hollywood are really, really really good in their job as an actor and very talented. Or she has to land a small role to a blocbuster movies that could caught a director's eyes. Perhaps.

DeleteJust like a lot of our kababayans too who are doing well financially in the Phl but chose to move abroad for various reasons. We all have to start from scratch again. But it is a different sense of freedom and accomplishment on the many things that you can do in the US. Living abroad ( or wherever you may be) is definitely character building. And sometimes, that is more than enough to offset whatever it is you are missing out in your life in RP. More power to you, Liza Soberano!

Delete741 Beh hindi lahat dito either negative thinkers or haters. Just take a moment to read through the comment sections then you ll see some are still rooting for her and some also neutral. Her feeling is valid when people said that she is Laos na. Yet people tended to bring back the day she pronounced LT problems which is true naman before settling US. Me my myself i am more naghihinayang sa knya kung baga sa kanta sa knya na lahat noon eh. You can possibly pursue ur HW dreams without leaving things behind sana however she failed to secure her finances in the future now reality is slowing sinking in kailangan niyang kumayod talaga to the the point even small gigs tinatanggap na niya just to earn for a living. She didnt forsee the future fianancial crisis she might have. Nadala sya sa bugso ng damdamin that time to pursue her dream. I believe she is the producer in her new film which is good atleast she tries something hopefully this movie becomes successful and earn something. Just allow to accept more projects sa PH kasi, it seems madalang sya tumanggap she has to be practical now learn from her lesson.

DeleteLiza has already penetrated Hollywood. She is friends with Hollywood actors. I believe she is with an American agency. She is a member of SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. Liza was able to attend SAG Awards

Unlike in Philippines, for newbie actors, everyone will go through arduous auditions but when you become popular, the movie and TV offers are tied with your agency which is connected to the network which gives you a consistent work.
In Hollywood, if your name is not big enough or you are a sidekick, you will continue to line up for movie and TV auditions frequently like everyone else and gets tons of rejections.
Hollywood will not give you a movie or TV projects unless you become a "household name" with bankable records. But even those who are "popular" or "known", they also continue to audition for movie and TV roles. Hollywood is very stiff
