    1. No, ang mali ng iba ay hndi mali nila. There are halfies na love naman ang pinas. Genuinely.

  2. It’s infinitely frustrating the way halfies have such a foothold in this country, esp where attractiveness was central to the job requirement, even if they weren’t an asshat like this loser. The way they are scouted even. I am so tired of seeing their faces onscreen, in print. It’s so boring. I know it’s often been said before na umay na

Hindi ba weird na mas konti yung representation kung ano yung mas marami sa atin? Gets ko na may self-loathing tayo as a people, and all that entails, but our anger at this disdain he has for us (i’m sure yung iba din just not saying the quiet part loud) should be channeled into seeing more of OUR faces and bodies in these spaces (acting, modeling, pageantry etc).

    1. Answer: deeply ingrained colonial mentality.

  3. Philippine pageant organizers should be very strict in accepting applicants from overseas Filipino communities. (Don’t just look at the financial gains!) The contestants must show knowledge in Filipino culture and language. Because if they have knowledge in those two areas, they are aware of the values and sensitivity towards the Filipino people. Let’s admit that many contestants who came from wealthier countries are very arrogant, entitled, opportunistic and rude. And as we can see, these halfies and overseas contestants are showing their true attitudes towards pure Filipinos in the Philippines.

  4. No one can dictate? History has expectations, society has expectations - beyond acquiring a passport because of rights, being a Filipino is more than just that. Love of country, knowledge of culture, experience of the joy and pains of being Filipino, knowledge of the country's history and the willingness to do what you can for your country and countryman.

  5. "No one can dictate what it means to be Filipino" :D :D :D So, with that logic, everyone in the whole wide universe can identify as a Filipino :) :) :) She's presidential material penoys ;) ;) ;) Vote her in please :D :D :D

  7. Botante ba sa Pilipinas yung Brandon Espiritu at Jether Palomo?

  8. Recent statement ni tipaklong lodi Jether Palomo now that he’s being cancelled.

Syempre puno ng mga PR words like *"I take full responsibility”* blah blah and the never ending *"intent doesn't erase impact”* and opkors the obligatory *"learn and grow”*

And paawa effect na *”thank you for your grace for an imperfect person like me.”*

LIKE SUPER GASGAS NA! Mabuti sana kung isang beses lang to eh pero ang DAMING VIDEOS online na napaka-cringe and super litaw na litaw ung pagiging egotistic and superiority complex. For example, ung translate in english please comment niya kay Marian HAHAHA like bruh, youre in a filipino pageant and it’s a good thing nga na DAPAT YOU CAN SHOW how good you are in speaking Filipino pero he cant do it (or at least even try).

Legit na ginawang personality and tool para maitaas ung sarili niya sa ibang pilipino ung fact na sinilang siya sa US WAHAHAHA 🤣 jusko, sana sa mga susunod na kandidato, itong mga badet mag-isip-isip man lang kung gaano mare-represent ng mga kandidato/a nila ung Pilipinas. Karamihan ata for the clout lang ang bet.

Also, kumusta si Kirk Bondad? 🫣

  9. Is anyone actually surprised by the latest drama surrounding Brandon? Because honestly, if you’ve been paying attention since his Supra days, the signs of his massive ego and unbothered, borderline arrogant attitude were always there.

Like, who talks to fans or critics like that when they are supposedly representing a whole country on an international stage? 💀

Instead of showing an ounce of humility or addressing the criticism gracefully, his immediate defense mechanism is this sarcastic, egotistical "yeah I'm a user, what about it?" attitude. It’s giving “I know I’m hot property, so I can act however I want and you guys will still eat it up.”

He never truly gave off that genuine \*pusong Pinoy\* vibe. It always felt like the Philippines was just a convenient stepping stone for his own brand, and now that his true colors are fully out in the open with this latest scandal, it all makes sense.

  10. People are acting offended, but Espiritu’s not completely wrong. The preference for mestiza beauty didn’t come from nowhere, it exists because Filipinos have supported it for decades. The issue isn’t the contestants; it’s the beauty standards we’ve normalized. 🙄🙄🙄
