Everytime i see a model, nakakaawa din kc most if not all are exposed to evil side of the industry. Worse, sometimes they view it as normal practice na.

  2. Nothing new naman. Pero with all those things happening mapapaisip ka bakit may mga ibang singer naman maayos tumanda sa industry. It really boils down to who you trust. From label to management/manager to ngayon uso na ang glam team. Madami kase mga sabik sumakses at gusto instant fame kaya mga naloloko ng mga tao or company na tulad nung diniscribe nila na either memenusin ka or pagsasamantalahan ka monetary/s’xualfavors.

    1. 12.18 I don’t think so. Marami syang naipundar during the height of her career. Pati taty at kapatid nya nasuportahan nya. So I don’t think there’s economic abuse there.

    6. Abroad your main people that will make or break your career are your AGENT-who finds you work, will book you for gig and negotiate your contract that earns about 10% commissions and your MANAGER who is your personalized shrink problem solver who manages your day to day needs and schedules, training and development, in charge of your branding who earns 10-20 commissions from gross income, that means whatever expenses like lawyers, accountants, glamour clothes, make up artist, stylist etc will still come from the artist’s pocket. But in the Philippines, the manager acts as both the agent and manager as they are responsible for finding you work, pay people to put you in the limelight, hire a road manager etc. was the one who invested money for acting , singing and dancing classes when you can’t afford it before success, probably gave you roof in your head too, but the artist’s piece of the pie shrink if you add a management studio like GMA. Sparkles or ABSCBN Star Magic who now in charge of your career and your original manager reduced to being a personal bodyguard of your career and day to day schedules but can still find you other projects outside the talent agency like hosting, sign you up to lucrative advertising gig etc. So an artist can’t say that a 10M contract should only belong to me because “I’m the one with the talent and face of the image” because there is a lot of people not just the artist behind that image and talent.

    7. 9:30 talagang malaki.

  8. I remember yung interviews ng mga sikat na artista about their early struggling times. Halos majority sa kanila nakwekwento yung nag eextra sila na ang TF for example 1K pero may ibabawas na 50% sa manager nila then 30% sa talent coordinator. So nauuwi nila 20% or 200 pesos for a whole puyatan shooting.

      Delete
    2. Grabe yung 50% naman, ang taas masyado

      Delete

  9. As a musician, I hate this too🙄

  10. Kean? As in Kean Cipriano? I remember pa angat na yung group of 4 of Spades non kasi maganda music nila tapos etong si kean kinuha yung main vocalist tapos hindi rin nabigyan ng career. Hopefully makaangat ulit now that the vocalist is back on that group

  11. Oo sinabi na rin ni Liza ito. Kaya zJR and Mica prepare yourselves for the attack from managers and the label ingrata. Don't say that artists have improved their lives. Because its the same with managers. I agree with Jay R na sila smg naghihirap, nagpeperform. Nagshooshoot ng endorsements like zlizas case. This is clearly economic abuse. IMO

    1. pero on the other hand, mga dawho ang mga artistang walang matinong managers, wala silang kapit so sino ang kukuha sa kanila for any gig. Yun ang binabayaran for management

  12. This is the reason why SB19 paid for their brand name and founded 1Z entertainment; and even fought against the norms. They almost lost everything 2 years ago dahil lang sa di sila sumabay sa agos ng nakasanayan. But true enough, kapag nasa tama ka at pinaghirapan mo, ibibigay sayo.
Even Morisette, KZ and Sarah G.. umalis na sila at nagtayo na din ng sariling music label.

  13. Kaya pala ang yaman ng mga managers ng artists, pero ang blood, sweat at hard work are mostly artista.

While managers are mostly sitting at the sidelines or answering phonecalls or negotiations

  14. Actually even sa freelance industry like online teaching ganito din ang ganap. Imagine, they charge the students 180 pesos per 25 minute class, pero yung mapupunta lang sa trainer/teacher is 60 or lower.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Ang intindi ko dun sa unang photo is may ang hinaing ni Jat_R is about managers na nandaraya - 100K ang negotiated TF pero 10K lang ang sasabihin ng manager sa talent. Tapos kakaltas pa ng commission. This is CORRUPTION and is GROSSLY unfair sa talent. Pero yung 30% or 40% or 50% commission as manager, depende na talaga yun sa inyong contract. So work with people you really trust!

    ReplyDelete
