And honestly, I think part of it is comparison. Kasi kung surface-level lang, Kaila’s gorgeous, accomplished, has that lowkey charm. meanwhile si “mayor”… well, let’s just say he doesn’t have the same universal appeal. So parang nagagalit sila kasi the narrative doesn’t fit what they wanted. they wanted Daniel to lose, and now it looks like he’s doing fine
It’s like they wanted to gatekeep the heartbreak story. Pero the moment he’s moved on, biglang “no, not like that!”
