Anong no one? I watched Wimbledon and Australian open since I was a kid. Hindi kami mayaman dati pero inaabangan ko mga yan. Kung maka-no one watches ka naman dyan.
Huy antey balutsky :), dito ako sa probinsya, may two tennis courts ang State University namin tapos nakikita namin maglaro mga athletes sa district meets, provincial meets until Palarong Pambansa. Ang limited ng alam mo sa sarili mong bayan ahahaha :)

She's young malayo pa ang journey nya and she's pretty ha for sure marami na yan offers na commercials, brand partnership sa pinas or even international bongga dami nya rin fans now
She had two chances to make two historical firsts just in the last five days, but lost both. Haist, as one of the very few Filipino avid tennis followers (since time of Graf/Seles, way before Alex was even born), it's kinda disappointing, she just had to hold serve in both matches. Sadly her (poor) serve let her down as usual. Hope she learns from this.
You would have to endure tons of heartbreaks in sports before you can taste that sweet victory! First time makapasok sa wimbledon then you also expect her to win? Ang taas naman ng expectation mo teh
Just keep on trying. Ganun naman gumagaling ang tao. Lahat dumadaan dyan. If you dwell sa negative, mada-down ka talaga. Akala mo ba walang failure yung mga magagaling na athletes??
Typical crab mentality... If you're an avid fan then you know how difficult it is to even qualify. If you're disappointed, imagine how she must have felt. She doesn't need to carry the country, but she's proud to do so and I appreciate her for that. What she needs is our support and best wishes.
Jusko teh. Nanood ka ba talaga? Did you not see how maya threw her racket because of frustration? And defending champion agad kalaban niya sa first round, what do you expect? Give her a break. She did really well.
Likewise, I'm an avid tennis follower since Graf & Seles but I am proud of how Alex battled it out on court and reached Wimbledon. No other Filipina as ever made it like her. And she will keep on soaring high up to the ranks. I will not even blame her faults for not taking the champinonship because to me & many Filipinos, she is already a WINNER.
Lol, Sabalenka, current world no. 1 lost her first three finals and won her first title at age 20. Federer won his first slam at 21. You have to understand that athletes have different trajectories and peaks.
To be fair, wala naman palakasan sa tennis. Di naman nya pwedeng bayaran para maka join sya. She needs to win matches to reach a certain point kaya she is able and capable. She might not be the best now pero may potential. Kahit maka top 10 sya waging wagi na.
