    17. Mura kasi baks. Not just homes, everything is cheap there (groceries, gas etc.). Also, image ng mga tao sa Vegas ay yung strip ng mga hotels but outside that, puro residential and vacant spaces lang diyan

If titira ka jan, walang life. Not unlike sa Orange County and Los Angeles (Santa Monica, Pacific Palisades etc area)

At never pa akong nakakita ng snakes sa tagal ko na dito. Mainit nga during summer or from June to September but I’d rather live here than settle in Cali even if I can afford to.

    16. Agree. Mura na ang 500k dito sa Las Vegas lalo na sa magandang areas like Inspirada, Summerlin at Southern Highlands. Average home price na dito yan. Ang mahal dito yung sa mga artista at businessmen na nasa 1M$. Iba iba naman ang presyo ng bahay depende sa statw. Kumbaga sa California, ang 500K mo sa San Francisco, wala kang mabibiling bahay na ganyan kalaki.

    17. Well San Francisco is different. It’s one of the most expensive cities. You can’t buy a house at that value. I’m Vegas, you can buy a big one with that amount. And who knows, they might have bought that before pa, they just only shared now. I’m sure they thought about that.

      And for an extra place lang naman, like a place to go to for a number of days in a year, that is a pretty big purchase.

    19. Not mura. And sa mukha ng bahay na yan for sure nagbabayad din sila ng HOA monthly na pataas ng pataas every year. Property tax is also not cheap. They chose Vegas siguro kasi walang state taxes sa Nevada. Even Hollywood actor Mark Wahlberg diyan din sa Vegas bumili ng bahay.

    21. 500k is cheap sa Vegas area. But cheap is relative. Depende sa lugar at kakayahan mo sa buhay. Wag mang warla kung merong tao who finds 500k "cheap".

    22. If you’re earning peso, yes malaki na ang $500k. LA ako and kahit sa ghetto na areas wala na yung 500k. Pag sinabi sayo 500k ang bahay kabahan ka na at more likely dangerous ang lugar. Meron din naman 500k sa Cali pero parang mga sa suburban ka na. Far from the city.

    23. Good for them! It's not expensive compared sa 3br old houses here sa Bay Area, talking about SF and suburbs which costs more than $1m. Ang laki pa ng tax kaya not worth it lalo na ngaun antaas ng crime rate. You're basically paying for the nice weather here, literally just a week or 2 of "summer weather". Rent here for 1br apt starting at $2k.

    25. To everyone na naiinis sa sa nag-sabi na mura lang ang bahay: yes, mura na yan compared sa ibang bahay sa ibang states. Kaya siguro nila pinili ang Las Vegas kasi mura nga mga bahay dyan compared sa iba lalo na sa California nasa $900k na value ng houses. Kaya ang dami nag-mo move sa katabing states like Texas or Arizona. Maybe they chose Vegas kasi mas okay yata kesa sa Texas or Arizon na sobrang init pag summer. Mainit din sa Vegas, but mas mainit dun sa 2 states na binanggit ko.
      Kung sa California sila bili property, I don’t think it’s a good idea, now. Also, baka kaya nila pinili Vegas kasi malapit nga sa Cali, 3 hours drive. Baka marami sila kakilala dito, so they wanted to be closer. Just my thought. Even if it is so expensive to live here, Cali has the best climate among the rest of the states in America, yun nga lang, napakamahal ng cost of living lalo na bahay.

Alam ko kc I follow all Jen’s social media accounts b4 buying that condo sa Shang sila lagi ni Jazz nag New Year’s Eve becoz of jazz condition n sensitive sa ingay ng paputok at di nila kasama si Dennis dyan mula 2018 until 2021. recently lng nung married n sila nakita si Dennis dyan sa condo.

Sa pilipinas din sila nakatira and may exclusive contract sila na most likely worth millions sa KaH, so I'm pretty sure they live in a neighborhood na hindi sila malapit sa kapitbahay, so they don't necessarily have to look for that when buying a vacation home abroad. Also, I'm assuming you know na di tulad ng pilipinas yung mga neighborhood sa US. Literally may mga namamatay dito at nabubulok nalang pero hindi alam ng kapitbahay hanggang umamoy yung bangkay, so it doesn't matter kung malapit ka sa kapitbahay cause they don't give a s*** lol

Mas maganda sa Vegas kasi diverse ang population compared sa ibang states na puro puti tapos limited ang food choices sa asian food. At may choice naman dito na bumili ng malaking yard mas mahal nga lang and not practical kung papatirahin mo lang ay renters.

  25. Mahirap makipag compete sa mga cash buyers na hindi naman citizen o resident ng US na bumubili ng real estate as investment. Usually pinapauhan lang naman. Amg dami tuloy mga family na hindi na makabili ng bahay.

  28. Investment anywhere in the US is still an investment. Keber na kung sa Vegas pa yan di naman nila titirhan daily. Magandang location since malapit sa CA pwede travel by land. Madali mag appreciate ang value. Isang bahay jan 2-3x more ang price ng CA properties, they are wise enough to settle to buy in Vegas

  38. What a beautiful home. I’d rather have an expensive-looking house that looks like that in a nice Vegas neighborhood, than an old, shoebox property in CA in a crime-infested area surrounded by homeless people. SF and LA maybe were desirable a decade or two ago but are sh!tholes now. With the tech layoffs, those places are only gonna get worse. And if you venture into the suburbs (where most Filipinos are), you face the same desert heat, plus forest fires. Vegas na lang ako; may centralized AC pa mga bahay, no traffic, close ka pa to THE entertainment capital.
