Always Interfering

Filipino culture has a very peculiar feature in which parents believe in having a license that would always allow them to treat their adult children like kids. For example, parents would always have to be consulted prior to settling down and if the son or daughter does not, expect consequences. Successful celebrities are not spared from following their parents even though they are already of age and highly experienced.

Over the years, Domineering Personality (DP) has created the image of a very strict mother to her celebrity children. Hence, whatever DP says, the children have to obey. When Sultry Celebrity (SC) decided to enter showbiz, DP made sure she was with SC at every step of the way. Other than overseeing her career, DP also has a say in the lovelife of SC. Any distraction in the career of SC means that DP will lose the opportunity to earn because SC could always prioritize love over career.

This relationship developed as SC herself went through various heartaches. Finally, after having several lovers, SC finally seemed to have found The One (TO). As expected, TO was subjected to tirades coming from DP. This time, however, SC sided with TO.

One day, the public was surprised that SC and TO separated, which seemed unexpected as SC was in love. Meanwhile, TO was seen clubbing, while SC was working. Thus, this alleged breakup raised many eyebrows, as there seems to be no reason for the couple to part. However, there seems to be good basis for the breakup. Allegedly, DP had a hand in the break up. Despite her fierce words against TO, she managed to still charm her way to him. DP even asked TO to buy an item for her abroad. As expected, TO bought the said item. Worse, DP would even ask money from TO, and when it came to the due date, she allegedly did not bother to pay at all. These transactions were supposed to be kept secret, and SC should not know at all.

As time passed, SC found out and confronted DP. Yet, her relationship with TO also suffered, which allegedly resulted in their separation. Thus, DP had her say in the relationship of a very adult SC. The good news, however, is that SC and DP always mend their relationship, and SC has been spotted with TO. Perhaps, all is well.

Repost: Angel Locsin Admits a Third Party Caused a Failed Relationship

Angel Locsin admitted that she already had a relationship whose breakup was caused by a third party.

The actress made the statement during the press conference of her upcoming film “The Third Party” where her character was replaced by her former boyfriend with another man.

“Oo meron [akong relationship na third party ang naging dahilan ng breakup] pero kung kanino man, sa akin na lang iyon,” she briefly said.

Locsin was also asked how she would react if in real life, her boyfriend replaces her with another man.

“Siyempre masakit 'yun pero wala naman sa gender 'yun. 'Yung fact na napalitan ka, masakit naman talaga. Pero may tinatawag na moving on so 'yun na lang. Kasi malay mo sila naman ang para sa isa’t isa talaga,” she said.

While their movie will tackle a plot that’s not commonly tackled, Locsin is confident the moviegoers are going to like it.

“Wala naman kaming ginawang controversial dito. Sa amin lang, nilatag namin 'yung kwento kung ano ang nakikita natin, kung meron tayong kaibigan na in a relationship na pareho ang gender, parang wala ka namang ire-react sa totoong buhay. Ganun lang din naman,” she said.

“Pinapakita lang namin dito kung paano ba magmahal, paano ba ang relationship, paano ba ang samahan, paano ba ang pakikitungo sa kapwa mo,” she added.

Aside from Locsin, the movie also stars Sam Milby and Zanjoe Marudo

Produced by Star Cinema, “The Third Party” will open in cinemas on October 12.

Just Taking Advantage of the Lovely Couple

The entertainment industry is a web of interconnected relationships in which the weaker ones sometimes attach themselves to the strong ones. Thus, friendships are fostered between famous celebrities and celebrity hopefuls. There is nothing wrong with such relationships unless one takes advantage of the other.

Recently, observers have noted that a Versatile Talent (VT) and His Partner (HP) seem to be hanging around with the prized celebrities of a particular network. Unfortunately, the closeness developed by VT and HP with Celebrity Couple 1 (CC1) was viewed with negativity. They were even accused of leading CC1’s Male Counterpart (MC) to engage in vices. When VT was part of the cast of the project of CC1, he managed to become close with MC. Being older and more experienced, VT was interesting to MC. However, the guardians of CC1 were vigilant, which prevented any further deepening of his closeness with MC.

Given that the talent of VT is much in demand, he was cast in a project with Celebrity Couple 2 (CC2). A similar thing happened and VT and HP managed to get themselves close to the younger and more impressionable CC2. They could even be seen hanging around with CC2 even during family bonding moments. Considering factors, such as age gap and privacy, observers do not feel comfortable that VT and HP are maneuvering themselves to be part of the off-screen moments of CC2.

Taking their relationship further, VT even allegedly presented a project proposal to the Female Half (FH) of CC2. FH was going to provide the investment to the proposed project. So as not to leave out the Male Half (MH), VT also had a proposal for him. VT has managed to convince MH to remember to cast him in future projects.

Compared with other talents of the network, CC2 does not have the intricate systems that protect the other prized talents of their network. FH and MH might even be thought of as newbies in this aspect. Hence, they might project that they are gullible, which people like VT and HP could easily take advantage. Perhaps, the handlers of CC2 could also look into the circle of people who are trying to make themselves permanent fixtures in the off-cam moments of the two.

‘The need for gain, and advantage over others, is one of the chief driving forces behind all human misery.’ ― Bryant McGill
