  10. She served her country with wisdom, honor, conviction and dignity, even when she took the unpopular opinion. With the kind of leaders our country has recently elected into office, from the top to the bottom positions, it will be a long time before we see another intelligent, funny, and honorable person like her in government. She is truly inimitable and will be sorely missed. Rest in peace now, Madam.

    1. Our senate is hopeless, so with our country. Few are those who are willing to serve our country, they are overpowered by those with the machinery and money, willing to make them work for their own personal motives.

    2. My exact sentiment... Nakakalungkot na ang inabutan nating senators Ay puro grandstanding at payabangan. Nasaan na yung mga katulad ni MDS, Salonga, Joker , Roco ..

  16. She was not the perfect politician but I have always admired her willingness to serve the country. Her public service record is undeniable. One of the greatest senators we ever had and she would have been a great president too had cancer not taken over her body. May you rest in peace, Sen. Miriam.

After ng brown out dun ako unang namulat ukol sa corruption.

Now that she's gone, we don't have anyone challenging the likes of Pacquiao or any other "novice" and "inexeperienced" senator for that matter. May you rest in peace "Madam President" #Salute #MyPresident

  72. Never have I cried over the death of a politician. But she's a hero to me, from childhood and until now. Am sure am not the only one who feels this way. She was indeed dazzling in her brilliance, watching her demonstrate how her brain works is captivating to say the least. She was THE MDS even before the public was exposed to her acerbic humor. I will miss her expertise in politics and the law, I will miss her mastery of argument, I will miss her mightily striving to always excel. Never have we seen so much passion traverse across the 3 branches of the PH government, and tbh, I don't think such can happen again in the next few lifetimes. She is one of a kind, beautiful heart of service, and a truly truly, beautiful mind.
