David Benedict in Variety wrote, "In an astonishing stage debut, Eva Noblezada gives a thrilling performance as Kim, with poise, power and a superb voice." And Dominic Maxwell in The Times said Jon Jon Briones plays the Engineer with "brilliant, avaricious charm."

MISS SAIGON tells the story of young bar girl named Kim, orphaned by war, who falls in love with Chris, an American GI - but their lives are torn apart by the fall of Saigon.

MISS SAIGON has music by Claude-Michel Schönberg with lyrics by Richard Maltby Jr. and Alain Boublil, adapted from original French lyrics by Alain Boublil, with additional lyrics by Michael Mahler. 10. Tandang tanda ko ang sabi ng bashers when Shin was cast in MS West End "After Miss Saigon, mapapagaya siya kay Isay na walang follow-up international theatre projects. Balik starlet levels." So very wrong! Ha! Sila Shin and Lea lang ang nakacross boundaries from West End to Broadway na hindi green card holder.

I am also delighted by the fact that the entire world willsee her as Gigi in the international screening of MS' 25th Anniv Performance! Congratulations, RAG! You super deserve it!!!

  11. Naman mga baks, as if 100% mong makikita si Rachelle in Miss Saigon.

Bida man or hindi, achievement na yan. Nagagawa nya gusto nyang gawin at masaya sya.

    4. We are congratulating her because it's hard to get into Broadway! But Cameron still picked her even though it's her hard to get in coz of Broadway Equity. That's not an easy feat. Just be happy for the girl! Di ka mamatay.

    8. Creature #2.37 Honey, in musical theatre, there is no such thing as a small role. And FYI, Gigi's sequence is the first highlight of the show, a pivotal one at that because it will highlight the kind of filthy world Kim is about to embark but will be fortunate enough to find love in the arms of Chris, albeit short-term. So please, calm your nerves and wash the salt stuck in your throat.

    1. Broadway nga pero she got in kasi lilipat lang ng Broadway ang Miss Saigon. If not for West End route, she will never get in sa Broadway.

      Delete
    2. Not all west end actors are accepted in Broadway you have to be really talented and she is that talented.
      Congrats!

    3. Anon 6:56 for sure bitter ka kasi idol mo waley!!! Hanggang birit na lng!!

    4. 6:56 The likes of Joanna Ampil na super successful on West End was not able to transfer to Broadway. So please, don't undermine Rachelle's achievement kasi parehas lang sila ng naging entry ni Lea to Broadway: they started in Miss Saigon West End. Cameron pushed for Rachelle's transfer to Broadway because she is sensational as Gigi.

      Delete
    5. Eh ano naman? Ano problema mo so koneksyon nya? Haha, ang galing nga nya eh. Obviously, Cameron was impressed. West End naconquer nya na...now Broadway naman.

      Delete
    6. 6.56, Iha ano akala mo sa Broadway, Mother Ignacia? Nagkakapag-artista kasi may koneksyon?

Lakas makacharot neto!

    4. 12:42 kung makukuha man sila Jona at Morissette baka pang understudies lng at for UK tour lng or International Tour eh si Rachelle Ann Go pang Broadway na ang peg siya ang SECOND FILIPINA TO PERFORM IN BROADWAY WITHOUT GREEN CARD NEXT TO LEA! yung mga idol mo makisiksik nlng sila dito sa pinas

  15. Ngumanga ka nalang sa inggit. Natatawa nalang kami sa inyo mga bashers. Pinoy nga naman hahahaha GO Rachelle Ann Go deserve mo yan. Small role daw? Eh yung role niya sa Les Miserbales as Fantine?? Hahahah

    2. Wow 10:58. FYI, only big Broadway celebs make large amount of money per week. Base salary is only $1861 per week for actors accdg to Actors Equity. Hugh Jackman made $40,000/wk. kahit si Lea never got paid this kind of money noon kahit lead role pa sya. Wagas ka naman makapag millions. Oo, few millions in pesos pag annual pero she has to pay her apartment rent, etc.

      Delete
    3. Hahaha...sarah is the youngest tax payer no.6 sa celeb and no.74 sa top 100 so if you do the math wala sya dapat ikaingit and still earnings millions.

    1. Les Miz pwede. Cats or Phantom of the Opera? What roles? Patawa ka

    2. Anon 12:13 malamang makakapasok siya sa phantom of the opera at cats.

      Delete
    3. Patawa ka talaga 8:17, what roles nga? Tell me. If you haven't seen those musicals yet, wag kang magmamarunong. Background dancers? Keri ba ni Rachelle magdance like those Broadway actors? Hindi! Huwag mong ipilit na gawin syang principal characters in both musicals kasi never mangyayari yan. My idol? Lea Salonga.

      Delete
    4. 10:57 Maghintay ka lang next year kasi may pasabog na international project si Rachelle and sure akong masusuka ka sa pagkain ng mga salitang binitawan mo! Eksaherada kang makabelittle!

      Delete
    6. 10:57 She can actually dance pretty well. Dito palang sa PH, marunong na sya. Napolish yung dance skills nya sa West End. FYI, she dances a lot in Miss Saigon as part of the ensemble in the second act. So, yes, "keri nya magdance like those Broadway actors".

  19. I am shocked that she is able to get in Broadway on a supporting role. They must be really impressed with her talent to allow her in Broadway. I remember there was an uproar with Lea but that was a lead role and Lea is Lea. This goes to show Rachelle is Rachelle. Two talented Pinays #proud

  24. Wala namang problem if Rachelle goes to Broadway. Mga ateng, Lea Salonga nga na superstar in Miss Saigon walang Broadway career after her short stint in Les Miz 2007. Kaya nga kahit pipitsuging Allegiance production pinagtyagaan nya hoping she'll make a comeback. Pero waley, Allegiance was a big flop. Lea nga is more brilliant and may napatunayan na than Rachelle. Kaya relaks lang kayo, simple lang, don't count the chickens before they're hatched.

    2. And you think your local idols will be popular forever?
It is not longevity in showbiz. It is the quality of their experiences.
Lea and Rachelle will forever be known as Broadway actors and your idols can only dream about it.

    3. Hayaan mo sila. They're happy for their idol. Nega ka agad? Malay mo naman swetehin si Rachelle. She can also be a superstar in Broadway. Di pa man sya nakakaland sa NYC, dinidictate mo na agad na she wont have a long Bway career simply because Lea wasnt able to do it.
