  1. As a Filipino living in the US, I’d rather have a Filipino leader, true public servant (not a politician, corrupt and self-serving at that) run the Philippines. You don’t want US to be leading the country trust me, its crazier here. We just don’t have flood control issues but we have homelessness, gun laws etc. Medicare are running out of funds hence healthcare is not to be raved about anymore. I have to come home to see doctors and run tests, you’ll be able to see a GP (not a specialist ) way too long by the time you’ve healed your symptoms, don ka palang magtitingnan ng doctor.

    3. All the problems you mentioned meron dito PLUS MORE...I live in the Philippines ,and believe me, it would have been way better if Quezon at least waited when the country was prepared enough to be independent...nag madali sya kasi gusto nua na umupo ,,NOT DOE THE COUNTRYWala pang alam mga leaders kundi payamiin mga sarili...Then up to now.. Lahat na sinasabi mo are relative.. Baka low-paying job mo and pangit i surance mo kaya you have problems.. same dito... Have u ever been admitted in both govt hospitals her and there for u to compare?

    8. I live in the U.S. too but I don’t have the same experience as yours. I guess it depends on the type of health insurance you have. And you’re saying you only see a general practitioner, it’s true but if you have other symptoms that they can’t fix, your GP will refer you to a specialist.

  3. A lot has changed since Quezon's time. Corruption is 10x (or 100x) worst this time. Even the smallest government position SK, Councilors, etc.) are also corrupt.

Namatay sila Rizal for these Filipinos? Willing talaga kayo magpasakop?

You can't blame them, wala naman talgang matinong leader ngayon eh. People are just trying to imagine what could've been as a defense mechanism sa mga nangyayari.

Lol

    4. Ikaw nalang sumagot? Look at our situation now.. Your notion of pasakop is soooo obsolete... Janus was comparing to Guam and Hawaii.. Even the small island of Saipan, maayos.. so anonproblema mo sa pasakop.. Iba ang mananakop nung panahon no Rizal..

    5. Call it by another name pero ano ba nangyayari sa atin ngayon?. Wala nang public servants , puro nalng sila politiko...lahat na mga bansa na sinakop nila are now enjoying a certain degree of freesom and maayos patakbo ng govt kumpara dito.

Look at Mexico and other countries colonized by Spain talamak din ng corruption.

  9. Agree with Janus.. Quezon was speaking AS A LEADER..

  11. You have to understand that at that time, the nation was just EXHAUSTED from the long colonization by spaniards and then followed by japanese. Anyone would just be asking for a relief and sense of freedom. Big mistake to ask the americans to leave, we would have a adapted a better system now but can't blame our forefathers too.

Note: not saying america is perfect. There are a lot of issues here. Endless politicking but still better than our corrupt & heartless govt.

  12. Actually nagkatotoo nga lol. We run our country like hell and we change so often to the point that there is no follow through, just change for the sake of it 🤣
