MU Fatima Bosch's Message and Responses to Hate Addressed to Her

Images courtesy of Instagram: fatimaboschfdz

These are some of the messages I have received these last few days. What must be in a person's heart to wish ill on someone they don't even know?

Thank God I have firm values and self-esteem, and this doesn't tear me down.

But many people can be hurt by these types of attacks and come to affect their mental and emotional stability.

Today I want to raise my voice not as a beauty queen, but as a woman. A woman who, like millions in the world, has personally experienced the violence that comes from hatred, disinformation, and the inability of some to see a woman shine without feeling threatened.

In recent days I have received insults, attacks and even death wishes for a single reason: because I won. Because a woman with dreams, preparation and heart decided to stand up and fight for what she loves. And although these attacks hurt, they do not define me. What does define me is my strength, my integrity, and the love I have for my country and for the women of the whole world whom I represent.

Today I want to turn this experience into a message: violence towards women does not always appear in the form of physical blows. Sometimes it appears in words, in digital hatred, in mockery, in campaigns to destroy our dignity.

But today I am here to say something with absolute clarity: no attack will make me kneel, no insult will extinguish my purpose

Because when one woman raises her voice, we all raise our voices. When one woman resists, we all resist. When one woman wins, she opens the way for thousands more.

To those who have attacked me and invented slanders I say: my victory is not a threat. My victory is a reminder that we women are resilient, capable, and powerful. We are not here to meet other people's expectations, we are here to transform the world.

To the women who have suffered violence in any of its forms, I promise you something: I am not going to keep quiet. I am going to use this platform to make visible; you are not alone.

Because a crown doesn't just symbolize beauty: it symbolizes responsibility and those who convert their frustration into violence are not expressing an opinion: they are causing harm, they are perpetuating a global problem that we will no longer tolerate. I will not retreat, I will not hide, and I will not ask permission to shine.

Because when a woman stands firm in the face of hatred, she opens the way for thousands more.

To all the women who feel fear today, who experience violence, who have been silenced: I see you, I honor you, and I use my voice for you.

And to those who do believe in me, to those who embrace me with words of love and pride, THANK YOU. Your light sustains me. Your confidence drives me. Your affection reminds me that I am not alone.

Today, from this place and with this title, I reaffirm my commitment: I will continue defending women, I will continue speaking for them, I will continue fighting for a world where none are attacked for being who they are or for daring to shine, or stepping outside the mold that society has marked.

Because violence can never win against a woman who knows her worth, My voice will not be silenced.

Because my light, like that of ALL, was born to illuminate, not to hide. There is a lot of work to do, and my commitment is and will continue to be using this crown for good.

Paulit ulit na lang speech nya, parehas na parehas lang ng sagot nya sa Q&A and walkout nya kay Nawat. Wala naman substance.

  33. “Abnormal autistic queen” my son has autism and it makes me really sad still seeing comments like this… palagi niyo nalang sinasabi ang “autistic” or “abnormal” sa description sa mga tao na ayaw ninyo. Wala parin talagang awareness sa mundo at empathy. Bakit kailangan yan ang gamitin na term. Mga wala kayong puso.
