ReplyDeleteSad to say but the people in those houses who got flooded are the ones who elected the politicians in that areas. Politicians voters are mostly those people in poor neighborhood. Most politicians never cared about these people but they need them when election is around the corner that's the only time they remember them and seems to care about them. While they keep multiplying then later become voters, the country keep sinking.

Typical pinoys at saka lang tayo nagpapakita ng performative rage nang lumapit na ss bituka natin yung issues. We tolerate or even celebrate the fruits of corruption until it affects us. I remember may dati ako officemate na lumipat sa ABS CBN na DDS. Panay ang post niya na dapat lang daw patayin mga adik kahit na may mga inosenteng collateral damage, nang pinasara ang ABS CBN at nawalan siya ng trabaho naging anti duterte siya.

Aren’t these events, environmental disasters and public health concerns, qualify for a class action lawsuit? The citizens should have the power to file a class action lawsuit against those people. They kept on saying “due process.” Then why not the citizens unite, organise the lawsuit, and take them to court? Making noise online and on the street was already done, and still no one has been made accountable. I’m sure there are still honest lawyers and group of people there to make that class action possible.
