Additional Condiment in the Bag

Some press people visited the location of an audition of a reality contest of a network. The production people entertained the press and offered them food and drinks. Specifically, the press people were given popcorn and drinks. The press enjoyed the treats.

After munching a lot of the snack, one of the reporters shook the bag of popcorn. When the reporter opened the bag, a dead cockroach surfaced amidst the kernels. All the while, the reporter was enjoying the bag of infested popcorn. After the incident, the reporter started to vomit, felt discomfort, and suffered from a bad tummy.

Whether the physical effects were triggered by the psychological suggestion, we will not know. The only thing for sure is that the reporter will be extra careful whenever snacks will be offered by any network. Of course, this incident is not a good way to start the publicity of the latest and grandest brainchild of the newly hired bigwigs of the network.

  7. i wouldn't fault the show or the people behind the show. its not in their capacity to check every bag of the contents (except if they intentionally bought expired or cheap products for discounted price) but who can ensure that there is no infestation in the said popcorn bag, they should fault the manufacturer and not the show and the staff. wala naman silang x-ray machine/eyes and hind sila manghuhula.. too bad for the show.

**not a fan of the show nor the channel.. :P

    5. To Anonymous July 18, 2012 10:02 AM...

You can use "fault" in the way the commenter used it. It's like saying "I won't BLAME / CRITICIZE". So ikaw ang mali. Please... go back to school!

    6. Ate Anonymous July 18, 2012 10:02 AM walang mali sa pagkaka-gamit nya ng "fault". Tama yun. Magbasa ka nga ng libro and pick up proper word usage. Kung may mali man yung comment, dun sa second sentence... dapat "it's" and not "its".

    7. Anonymous 10:02 -- The word "fault" may also be used as a verb. 4:37 used it correctly. Google it. FYI lang, "Grammar Pulis."

    8. WAHAHAHAHA! Nice. Iyak ka na. It hurts di ba?

    9. Hahaha. Haha. Excited pa man din siguro xa i correct ung akala nyang mali. Hahahahaha.

  9. Not really the fault of the network......anybody not just the press should be wary about any food or drink offered by others....

    1. Not directly, no. But the buck stops ultimately at the network's door. And yes, the network DOES have that responsibility of ensuring that whatever food it offers should at least be edible and sanitary. That's good PR and common sense.

  10. This country is weird or maybe just corrupt....the press expect gifts and bribes as if it’s normal. In other countries this practice is a total no-no because it is in conflict with one's objectivity.

  12. FP not naman them that manufactured popcorns you know they are not faulted. It is the company of popcorns that are the fault. I also buy oshiyi manjo and a cockroach was inside one of them. I complained but they did not even entertain me so I just shut up.

Why would they purposely serve unsanitary food eh kasiraan sa kanila yun? It was just an unfortunate incident, cockroaches are everywhere, even in the cleanest house, malas lang niya at siya ang nakakuha ng popcorn bag na may ipis.

  15. Fp nadisappoint ako sa 2 bi's today. Hindi naman yan kasalanan ng network. Unless sila nagluto. At yung next bi, si cheesy heart........ Baka thankful pa yan sa publicity mo.

  16. You can't blame the network nor the show. It's not their fault.

Not a fan. Baka kasi may mag react nanaman.

    ReplyDelete
  18. for me, its not the fault of the network nor the show and the people behind the show..if I were them, i will sue the caterer..

It's each one's responsibility.
