Her mom was the 60's star Imelda Ilanan (she was the lead for FPJ, Erap) and her dad was the then action star Tony Ferrer. Imelda married (stepdad ni Maricel) Ben Avancena who is the grandson of Manuel L. Quezon and who was, for decades the regional Director (Souetheast Asia) of a top international conglomerate. They lived all over the region. Ella had an international childhood. Sa sad side naman ni Ella - they are the Pangilinans. Her dad has a PhD from an ivy league school. Tito niya si Kiko and tita niya si Mega, etc. Their circle ay elite. Thus, Ella does not have to try to be elite, she is one sa family pa lang niya.
