The emotional trauma( distress, manipulation and abuse) is different from physical abuse. Both carry the same weight and depth but the effect on the kids are all different. Napapalo man ako o nakukurot nung bata pa ko, pero ang sakit ng pinapahiya ka sa ibang tao at ramdam mo na hindi ikaw ang paborito or a parent sees you as a competition. Thats's me. Sa case ko, masakit ang mga salita kasi di mo na mababawi lalo na pag bata ka pa lang naririnig mo na. Kaya lumaki din ako na insecure at hindi confident sa sarili. Eto siguro ang nararamdaman ng mga anak nya. Resigned and too exhausted. The difference is, mahal ko pa din ang magulang ko. Maybe one day, magkakaayos din sila when Dennis is ready to admit his mistakes and forgive himself and his kids are all willing to open their hearts again to their father. Naniniwala pa din ako na God heals all wounds in His time.
