Kapuso actor David Licauco has just proven his mettle as a world-class athlete with his exceptional finish at the HYROX Taiwan, held from February 28 to March 1, 2026.
With his total time of 1:07:48, the Pambansang Ginoo emerged as the #1 Filipino in the Men's Open Division in Asia, as well as the #2 Filipino in the World Overall Open Men's Division.
With nearly 2,000 participants from across the globe, David ranked 53rd overall and 19th in the 30-34 age group.
HYROX is fast gaining popularity as a hybrid fitness race that combines running and functional workout stations, where participants run one kilometer, then complete one functional workout stations, repeating the cycle eight times, for a truly high-intensity challenge of cardiovascular endurance and muscular strength.
David is scheduled to compete again at the HYROX Hong Kong scheduled this coming May.
David is currently managed by Arnold Vegafria's ALV Talent Circuit.
