    1. we invest in logos, jingles, posters etc when we could have better used the money to improve airport transfer, toilets in tourist areas, remove "entrance/environmental/LGU fees", food packaging etc that give tourists the good reason to come to and explore the country. kahit anong palit mo ng tagline, logo, singer and song, kung same ang issues, coming to the Philippines once is enough

    2. This is very true. Nakakaloka.

    3. 10:37 hindi rin naman kagandahan ang toilets at airport sa cambodia at vietnam pero attractive sa turista kasi mura lang... wala pa 17k nagastos ko sa angkor wat tour all in na.. including RT airfare, hostel, food, group tour...

  2. THIS! Thailand and Vietnam are more affordable. Both countries have better infrastructure and better food. I work in the airline/travel industry. I can't help but compare it with the Philippines. In terms of customer service (observing hotel staff) - halos similar tayo sa Thailand, kasi both countries are hospitable. Mas angat tayo in our English speaking skills. Pero mas angat ang Thailand :(

I always say Manila could have been Bangkok. And Vietnam?

    1. I love Thailand..

    2. 1:17 Agree on many points. Same observation tayo - Pinas puro Catholic Churches vs Buddhist Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and their temples, and more exotic sa mga puti. 4 years ago ko lang na-realize na why would the Europeans want to visit our churches, eh meron din sila nun? Agree din ako sa Indochina geography factor.

Kaya I'm doing some de-colonizing and starting to appreciate our Southeast Asian heritage more. Nice interacting with you here on FP 🙂

    4. Hype kasi nagpataas ng cost of living diyan, pamasahe etc. Pero ayoko diyan. Madalas ang lindol, bagyo at brownout. Actually un buong Surigao area

    5. Ano ba habol nila diyan Surfing? What people do not know, they cannot destroy. Ergo what they know, they destroy.

  6. Back in 2019, nagplano kami magbakasyon ng friends ko. Ni-check namin ang Siargao. Jusko, 6k one way lang.

  7. Mas malaki nagastos namin a Boracay kesa nung nag Vietnam, hong kong at Thailand kami kaloka

  8. Tama po. Siargao is not for budget travelers (so is Batanes).

    Ang hirap mong mahalin, Pilipinas.

  9. Mali pala yung "Mahalin ang sariling atin" mas tama yung "Mamahalin ang sariling atin"

  10. This is sooo true i wanted to bring some friends to siargao when i came home to visit i looked at the accommodations and omg i was shocked the price is as expensive as a 2bedroom rental on the amalfi coast and bali even where you can get a private villa w pool. Even self drive car rentals more expensive than in europe sa totoo lang. But i guess somehow okay na din coz i dont think our infra is ready for mass tourism also better din for the environment baka pag dumami tourist may magka idea nanaman na kalbuhin ang mga bubdok at gumawa ng hotels na mala monterrazza or ma evict yung mga locals sa tinitirhan nila alam mo naman gobyerno *not all* issue ng issue ng permit basta may kapalit na pera

They were able to maintain it's paradise looks. Even though the country is mainly about tourism.

  11. Very true!

  12. Dito sa Canada mas mahal din magtravel from province to province. Though you have the option to take Via Rail or drive.

  14. The airlines are there to make money :D :D :D If you have a better business model, go ahead and open a new airline and make it cheap :) :) :)

  15. Lahat gaham, corrupt. What do you expect?

  16. Angmahal nga dinaig pa ang Bali. One night stay sa resort somewhere in south 15k na. Mga pinoy overpricing tlga sa negosyo.

  20. Even prices ng pagkain sa ibang restaurants dito kaparehas na lang ng presyo sa US at Canada.

May kailangan pagkuhanan niyan.

Walang stance about this? 😂

  25. May nakita akong video tour ng Siargao di naman maganda e ano ba meron Jan

  26. Hindi rin tourist friendly and Pilipinas. I'm not saying Siargao. In general, pag may foreigner, parang nakakakita ng monster, either takot or OA sa pansin. Marami pang manggagantso. Lahat may entrance fee or may sasamang tourist guide kuno. Parang mga ignorante.

  28. Even when international artists go on concert tours, Filipinos would rather watch in other Asian countries where concert tickets are cheaper. Derecho vacation na rin.
