No sir. It’s the low quality of films today. Mag kuwento na paulit ulit at hindi na nakakatawa. Kung bagong concept man hindi maganda ang story. It’s the story telling skills and poor direction that keeps people away from Pinoy films. With streaming services, Pinoy viewers are exposed now to high quality made films with interesting stories more than ever. Global ang competition sa films ngayon. Kagaya nung movie ni VG last year na The Breadwinner nasa Netflix until now isang buwan na di ko matapos tapos ang movie kasi hindi maganda at hindi nakakatawa. Feeling ko nasasayang oras ko kaya lipat ako sa ibang movies dun. I am struggling to finish that movie sorry to say.
Agree. Mga hollywood movies kumikita pa rin.. its the quality…the quality of most PH films are simply not worth the price. sayang talaga pera, i-stream na lang. best example breadwinner, uninvited, etc.., they hyped it up, pero di talaga maganda..natapos ko naman but i just let it play habang nag household chores. Unlike other movies, you hang on to every scene kasi lahat may connection, meaning.
Question. Yang ganyang argument mo- bakit sa cinemalaya, qcinema, hindi nag wowork or nagbbox office , kung ganyan ang logic mo? E doon maraming experimenteal, may mga iilan na out of the box at critically acclaimed pa nga na films?
Yes, mahal talaga. Almost 500 pesos + snacks sa sinehan + kain ng lunch or dinner sa mall + pamasahe/gasolina. Mapapagastos ka talaga eh. Wait nalang talaga maging available sa Netflix or YT.
