Hindi ko mainditihan bakit pumirma ang DENR sa project ni Slater Young, dahil ba sa pero. Hindi na ako magugulat kung pati sa DENR talamak narin ang corruption. Remember yong resort na tinayo sa near Chocolate Hills sa Bohol.
Totoo naman. Parang pader. Hindi yung humihina pag nakikita pa lang yung mga bundok. I once saw it while nasa airplane before landing sa NAIA. Ang ganda talaga ng Sierra Madre from the air. Imagine yung chocolate hills but a lot more expansive: taller mountains which expands to all directions.
Protect Sierra Madre at all costs. Yun lang minsan sneaky etong mga mining and deforesting and yung mga nagbibigay ng permit sa mga eto. Tas mga tao nirred tag pa mg environmentalists.
Sino bang nagsabing GANAP ang proteksyon? The fact na nakakapagpahina siya kailangan siyang proteksyonan. Yung pag-twist ng gobyernong ito sa narrative ng effect ng Sierra Madre, maproteksyonan lang yung interes ng mga mining companies, galawang sindikato.
Geesh! Another white guy preaching 🙄 Nagta thank you lang naman karamihan ng mga tao kasi maski papaano, humina ang bagyo ng tumama sa mountain range. Alam ng publiko na hindi 100% ang protection ng mountain ranges, at alam din ng publiko na kailangan protektahan ito from deforestation na dulot ng korapsyon.
Even so. The so-called storm chaser must've still advocated for the well-being of those mountain range. His statement kinda disregarding the nature's benefits and giving favorable impression for those monsters who's destroying the Sierra Madre.
I think di lang nagkakaintindihan mga tao. Oo tama naman sya na nakakaweaken ng bagyo yung Sierra Madre but only after dumaan dito which means the areas ng Luzon na dinaanan ng bagyo BEFORE dumaan ng Sierra Madre like Aurora ay di protektado nito. Minsan kasi baka akala mga tao protected buong Luzon.
Ang sierra madre ay isang pader. Kung ang hangin at ulan ay bumobuhos, ang nasa likod ng pader ay may protection. Isa rin itong watershed na may epekto sa pagprotekta ng nasa baba - plains lowerlands - from the waters brought by the rains - inaabsorb ng mga puno, dinadirect sa mga rivers derecho sa alluvial plains out to sea - drainage system kumbaga.
Mountain ranges are important to ecology. You don't just build on them, deforest them or quarry them or affected ang ecological system. Protect Sierra Madre, design human settlements with that in mind and we will have less floods and damage from typhoons.
