  1. It is going to be like Boracay one day.

    1. Boracay is overrated. Never na ako bumalik.

    2. 10:52 Boracay will never the same again as it was during their boom town. Dumami na mga big building, malls and all na sa totoo lang, lalong nagpapadagdag dumi sa mga gilid gilid ng boracay.

    3. Sa totoo lang white sand kasi ang panlaban ng boracay, been to many places and beaches abroad wlang makatalo sa sand ng boracay, mas fine pa sa Maldives

    4. Boracay is a nightmare you'd want to forget. In a few years, you're not even proud nakapunta ka. All you remember from the trip is kung gaano ka inhuman ang ingay and how stressed you are. Only squammies na never pang nakapageroplano ang gustong 'magbora' and once they're back, you never hear any good experience, only na 'nakapagbora' sila. And yes, white sand, that's it.

    1. Not a mall, it’s a luxury resort. Siargaonons won’t let developers build a mall on the island.

It still looks like a raw paradise.

    2. Kailangan ba ang tao maging "legit" na taga Siargao to give a damn about what is happening there? Babaw mo

And yung line na "Now we see others coming in for the estitiqqqq"
Coming from her pa talaga! Isn't that the same reason why she chose to live there? For an estitiqqqq life?

  5. May businesses din naman siya diyan

  7. Gusto mo protect home mo? Balik school and then mag mayor ka then pataas. You’ll have institutional knowledge, real life knowledge and genuine passion to serve and care for your Siargao home, ala Vico. Gora.

  13. Even in Hawaii buildings and luxury hotels will built nearby in the shorelines area and it creates a lot of job opportunities bakit sa Siargao daming tutol kung ikakaunlad naman ng pamumuhay sa mga locals doon.

    1. Kaya nga ang pangit na ng Hawaii.

    2. More properties, more people, more money coming in. More services needed, more jobs needed.
      More demands rise, prices rise.

Basic necessities becomes unreachable for the locals. They abandon their nature-friendly way of living to become tour guides and sugar babies to foreigners. When the foreigners leave, they leave with them. In a decade, foreigners now outnumber local residents, continuing to pollute and destroy natural resources because no hotel EVER has improved nature. In a few decades it is now simply a dead, smelly, concrete island with hotels and hookers that everyone will avoid because of its pollution, diseases, and overpriced beer. Like Puerto Galera (which I'm sure has improved now, but in the late 2000s, it was as dirty as Manila Bay and just as ridden with STDs).

  14. AE having NIMBY issues :D :D :D Where were you when the other islands were being gutted? ;) ;) ;)

  15. Similar to what's happening in Liwliwa now. The ocean claimed back what it originally owns. The structures were washed out.

  16. Same feels when I went to Bantayan Island last week.

  17. Pag yang Siargao na-abuso ng mga koreano at mga sandamakmak nilang korean restaurants, that place will be done for

    ReplyDelete
  18. Why did the government allow the developer to remove the reefs?

    ReplyDelete
  19. You should see Alona Bohol. Grabe din. Tsk tsk
