I think mas high awareness now. I was born in the 70s and hindi pa well aware ang mga tao those days that they should be wearing sunscreen and staying out of the sun during peak hours, even up until the late 90s. Probably nalalaman na lang ng mga tao nuon na may skin cancer pala sila when it has already spread to vital organs, totally discounting that the original source was melanoma or other forms of skin cancer.
