ReplyDeleteAt the back of my mind the last few days before the conclave, parang hindi talaga mananalo ang Filipino or any of the frontrunners na hina-hype ng media. I had a feeling parang decoy lang ang mga nilalagay na frontrunners to protect the REAL frontrunner kasi grabe yung mga smear campaigns against the Cardinals Tagle and Parolin.
Cardinal David and Cardinal Prevost who is Pope Leo XIV now ay na leaked na darkhorses just 2 days before the start of the conclave.

Pero isipin nyo... Pope Francis was already voted by the Cardinals as second nung nanalo si pope Benedict. Nung nagretire sya at pipili ulit ng bagong Pope, hindi parin sya binabanggit ng media or insiders as one of the papabile despite placing second dun sa huling conclave so tinatago talaga nila ang tunay na malakas ang chance.
I know parang impossible na magkaroon ng Filipino pope but I still had hopes….

ReplyDeletePraise God! Take heart people of color. Pope Leo has mixed heritage that includes Haitian and Louisiana creole roots on his maternal grandparent's side, which is in itself remarkable. God is in control.
