Afford ko nman and yet this is still insulting. Like, kung gusto ko tlaga makatulong sa Pinas by buying local goods, eh punta and buy directly na lng ako sa mismong source than buying this sh*t bahay kubo store. Nakatulong pa ako sa turismo ng lugar nila.

Paano nakakalusot ang ganyan? Tsaka dapat ipagbawal yang mga tradisyonal na pangalan na related sa ph. Ano yan bahay kubo? Ano kunek? Parang masabi lang na unique or something. Nakakasira sa image ng mga Pilipino.
Actually I did a quick search about her business. Nabasa ko sa About tungkol sa kung pano nag start business niya. She was clearly using her roots to promote her business. She’s Fil-British based in NY.

But if you look at the bigger picture, it's not an issue of whether you can afford it or not. She's obviously selling it to rich people under the pretense na it's promoting Filipino culture and at the same time helping local communities/NGOs in the Philippines when the reality is singkwenta pesos lang naman ang mapupunta sa donasyon for every item na mabebenta. Pero if yung raw materials naman ay galing mismo dito sa atin at yung mga worker ay Pinoy at kumikita sila ng tama, then walang problema.
Funny that they are saying na target market is “rich” pero gamit na gamit ang “bahay kubo” which is associated with a simple pinoy life haha! How contradicting! Pinagkakitaan ang kultura at ginagawang uto uto ang tao. Palitan na lang ng “forbes mansion” lol kung yun talaga target niyo.. Ginamit pa bahay kubo
Sana ganyan din kayo manindigan laban sa mga kurakot sa gobyerno. Hindi ko sinasabi na okay lang magbenta ng ganyang kamahal na pantali ng buhok. Ang sakin lang, sana ganyang energy at dedication din ang meron ang mga commenters dito laban sa tiwaling gobyerno.
