    4. The red color seen in breast milk may be due to a high iron content. This is normal and usually not a cause for concern.

      Thank me and google!

    5. Kadiri? Anong kadiri sa photo? At hindi naman unflattering. Hindi sya naka postura, oo. Pero there’s nothing wrong with the way she looks. And wala namang too much info sa post nya.

    5. Latching is the only way to increase mom’s breastmilk. Yes, stress can affect milk production.

  6. Not advisable to pump below 6 weeks, might cause oversupply and lead to clogged ducts or worse, mastitis.

    1. Were did you get this info? You can use a breastpump right away. Please do not mislead mothers as to thinking otherwise

      Delete
    2. True, di ata nagresearch at umattend ng BF seminar si ate

      Delete
    3. At sang lupalop mo nakuha yan? Lactation consultant pa nga ngsabi okay lang magpump kahit kelan pa

      Delete

      Delete
    5. 12:51 is right. Not advisable 6 weeks below mag pump. Learned this the hard way. Got so excited started pumping after 2 weeks. I had an oversupply and ended up with clogged ducts and engorged breasts. Landed on the ER but thankfully no surgery was required. It was mastitis.

      Delete
    6. 2:32 and 2:35 sa mga lactation experts and nurses. Below 6 weeks you should just feed on demand kasi if you use a breastpump, it could mislead your body to overproduce milk which causes clogged ducts. I’m not 12:51 pero I was also about to comment the same thing.

      Delete
    7. Actually may kanya kanyang school of thought sa pag ppump. Yung reasoning behing not pumping below 6 weeks is because yung bagong panganak konti lang naman kung dumede, like a few ounces at a time lang tas pag nag breast pump pa signal yun sa body to make more milk. Aakalain ng body ng mom maraming milk kailangan ng baby so signal yun to make lots of milk kaya engorged lagi yung dede and mag ooversupply.
But really you do you and do what fits your lifestyle. Baka nag bbuild sya ng stash or uses the pump to stimulatr pruduction kasi sa tingin nya konyi sya mag produce.
Personally sinunod ko yung di muna mag pump and bottle kasi I did believe that it would cause oversupply.

    8. There are even pumps in the post-partum unit for women to use. Please dont spread misinformation.

    9. I agree with 12:51. Member ka ba ng BFP mother? ;)

      Delete
    10. 12:51 this is true. I'm a member of Breastfeeding Pinays dati for 4 years.

      Delete
    11. 2:35 tama naman si 12:51, hindi advisable to pump below 6weeks

      Delete
    12. Not ideal yes, and totoong possible magka oversupply. That's what happened to me sa panganay ko. Oversupply is a blessing and a curse. Never ako nahirapan, walang leaks etc. but come 6 months at kailangan ko iwan si baby, dun pa lang ako nagstart mag pump. Sobrang struggle as in wala akong mapump. So ending we had to supplement pag kailangan ko umalis. 17 months old na si bunso.

So sure hindi ideal ang magpump ng maaga, but some moms had to do it. Kasi kelangan maagbottle feed, or yung ibang babies totally hindi maka suck.

    13. 1251 is correct.. 235. Not totally “bawal” or you can’t. It is advisable First 6 weeks advisable is feed on demand hanggang sa established na ang supply. Then you can pump after 6weeks. That’s as per my ob. I’ve got two kids na and consistent ang advise sa akin. I live overseas not sure sa Pinas.

    2. 701, according to my lactation consultant before when I delivered my child, all moms are capable of producing breastmilk. The key is correct latching to increase milk.
