    1. Eh kasi di matanggap ng mga ingittera na natanggap siya sa US and UK schools. May mga nag confirm na nga eh. Nakakaloka. Filipino crab mentality strikes again. Hating what they can't have.

    2. 12:57 many will turn into frogs dahil sa inggit. Di na lang matuwa para sa bata.

    6. Grabe, im not into politics po. pero nkakadiri lng yung isang basher naiconnect pa nya sa politics, fake news daw and it turned out totoo pala. Nakkasuka pinklawan ang mga nagcomment dahil apparently the post cited about spreading fake news like what BBM did. They are spreading hate na ginatungan pa ng ginatungan.

  3. Kung may achievement ka better keep it to yourself and close family & friends. Don't make it public na like posting sa Social Media, it will only attract hate at inggit.

    7. 12:58 Kahlil Gibrain said it himself "people ruin beautiful things". Kaya if meron kang gustong gawin huwag mo ng sabihin sa iba. The only person that you need to prove your worth is yourself at wala ng iba.

    11. Kelangan niya magannounce at kelangan niya support ng schools and media kasi kelangan niya ng sponsor to go there.

May scholarship akong natanggap dati from Germany at may confirmation email ako at for sure di un alam ng alma mater ko.

Kaloka yung school nya. 😂

      Delete
    3. may kumalat kasi na may history daw siya ng hindi pagsasabi ng totoo. and then accdg to the asst principal, julian prepared congratulatory message and asked the school to post it on the school's facebook page.

Bopols din tong school niya, of course they won’t accept a confirmations from the schools kasi hindi naman sila privy dyan! That’s between the applicants and the schools.
Sinabihan naman pala sila ng bata na may mga acceptance sya kaya nagpaprepare ng congratulationa, then why didn’t the school themselves verified with the universities or asked to check the acceptance email.
The school really let the kid down on this one.

      Delete
    7. The school simply asked for proof that he did get in those schools such as a copy of the admissions letter which he can easily supply the school with if he wanted. What the school is asking is not unreasonable, it's what a responsible school would do, and he didn't want to give it. So I don't think the school let him down in this case.

    1. He was already accepted. He already received acceptance letters kaya he was able to announce them - last slide indicates those who answered to the philstar's email inquiry.

One possible thing kaya nya in-announce yan is for additional sponsorship. It's possible that they didn't give him full scholarship, or even if it is full scholarship - yung process ng pagpunta nya sa US, he will probably need help and funds for those.

Also, application fees are required to be paid before they give you access to the portals where you can upload the requirements. They’re usually more expensive for international applicants - about $500-$1,000 per university. Did he pay for all those fees?

Go boy and achieve your dreams!

    1. Pumunta na lang sa kung saan man school gusto nung bata at doon na mag aral given the fact na may scholarship na siya.End of story.

    3. Not the end yet. If hindi full scholarship yung universities where he’s accepted, ang target nya as to why went for the interview - is to find someone who could sponsor or help him with the other expenses related to going to the US.

Eh sa headline they calculated the total scholarships as if ung ang makukuha nya whichever uni pipiliin nya when in reality syempre kung anong in-offer lang ng ma-aavail nya. The kid was probably looking for help to fund his studies kaya sya lumapit sa media in the first place. Also bakit ung alma mater nya kelangan mag confirm ng Uni acceptance. Kahit naman sa pilipinas that's not how it always works. Best of luck to Julian at unsolicited advice ko lang is not to choose a uni na mas mababa ung ranking/reputation compared to the uni in the PH.

    1. Kung ang goal niya ay magtrabaho sa ibang bansa o sa US or UK, mas mataas pa rin ang tingin ng employer sa nag-graduate sa US or UK kesa sa Pilipinas.

  39. Ang mga public school teachers ay naiinggit. Some of them have children who did not even graduate from school!!! Some of them have children who are not honor students. Speaking from experience

  41. Before any application is processed, the school will send the transcript of records (tor) directly to the school na inaapplyan mo to be evaluated. Sealed. Tapos per application may bayad pa. Around $30-$100 each. Sa US kahit $500 na stipend they call in Scholarship. So mostlikely gagastos pa rin talaga sya unless someone will sponsor. Wait na lang anong school sya matutuloy. Goodluck!

    4. This is correct 4:14 Yung admin ng school ang nag aasikaso ng mga documents needed before you can apply to another school to make sure that you are a HS grad.Next is magbabayad ka for the entrance test.

Don't you know that Application fees can be waived? Tsura neto...

    6. 10:11 kaya nga nagtatanong kasi dito sa America nung nag apply ang anak ko the school will be responsible for sending your transcripts to colleges. So i assume it would be the same sa mga ibang applicants.. It is a tiring process. And it can be pretty expensive pag marami school ka na inapplayan. Nagmamagaling ka dyan, nang aaway agad.

    7. 1:17 ewan ko ba dyan kay 10:11…galit na galit. Eh based lang naman yan sa experience ko nung nag apply ako for US college applications. So maybe nga iba ang process for international students. And mind you mas madali makapasok ang International students compare sa mga locals kasi double/triple tuition fee nila.

    8. 7:43 galit na galit??? May masama ba sa sinabi ko, im just stating facts based on my experience when i applied for US college. Then if his applications was waived eh d mabuti. Atleast alam natin maybe the Application for Locals and International may be different.

    9. Abangan na lang natin saan sya matuloy. Sana nga makakuha sya ng Full Ride Scholarship otherwise it can be pretty expensive for an international student. Goodluck!

    10. well wag magaway away dahil it is not your problem, problema na yan ng pamilya nung tao kung saan siya papasok tutal if you are armed with scholarship.Magulang na ang gagawa ng paraan for the other expenses. It is not our problem. If you are going to study in the US or UK dapat alam na papanong gagawin pag nakapasa.

    11. As a parent before you let your son take the entrance exams to different Colleges and Universities, nasa budget mo na yung other expenses like gamit ng anak mo,baon sa school, pamasahe, school uniform.etc etc.Kasama yan bago sumabak sa paaralan

As in all in na yun--round trip tickets, accomodation, living allowance, health insurance, tuition fee, etc... yun nga lang di ako sure kung natanggap sila for undergrad

  44. CONGRATS!! Now im curious ano sinulat niya sa college essay niya. Feel ko magaling. Congrats sana maka pasok siya with full scholarship. Kaka proud! Kapag inggit pikit shut up nalang
