    1. Verified means you're the legit one. The OG lol

      Delete
    2. Well if celebrity, a well known person or a page ng company, business, agency etc. the blue check helps you and others na ikaw talaga yung user. To avoid scams or misinformation na rin.

      Delete
    3. You're the real person

      Delete
    4. if some random person can also pay for the 8 dollars easily and name him/her as a celebrity, then what’s the point of paying for the 8 dollars?

      Delete
    5. Madami kasi gumagawa ng fake account so pag may blue marked, it means it is officially comming from the real one.
      Hindi fake lang.

      Delete
    6. What’s next? You have to pay for your username just to log in? smh

      Delete
    7. It's a biz. $8/mo to have the twitter blue service. Considering that image is part of their jobs as celebrities, just like the reporters and paps in your managers' payrolls... pay up!

      Delete
    8. 5:05 it depends on the number of followers you have. Let's say, you have 1k followers, do you think you can be granted a blue check even if you can afford to pay $8?

      Delete
    9. Walang required number of followers ang blue checkmark. Nasa help nila yan. You will undergo their verification, kailangan no changes to profile pic at twitter handle, at hindi ka spammer, manloloko or lumalabag sa platform rules. And now, dagdag yung bayad na $8 per month.

Most celebs have done the verifications, extra step na lang sa kanila ang bayad.

      Delete
    10. 11:15 sige nga, sampol nga ng celebrity na 1k or a little more na may blue check?

      Delete
  2. Oh well as if it’s the end of the world na. Jusko maliit na bagay.

    1. Not really kasi puwede gamitin nila para mang scam then madaming gullible na madaling maniwala.

      Delete
People who are known need them to avoid identity confusion, opportunistic and malicious actions, etc.

      Delete

Most scammers won’t submit info and pay naman just like in post paid.
If they do this in twitter, eh Di possible less scammers rin. Ang daming fake news sa mundo, it’s about time we make ways to fight it.
C Karen Davila can pay the twitter subscription, sa laki ng kita nya, won’t 2-3k pesos monthly and application hurt to protect her and followers against fakers.

      Delete
What more kung wala ng blue mark?

      Delete
Lahat regular na unless you pay, lol.

      Delete
For the longest time, hindi maayos ng monetization ng twitter. Baka naman makadagdag ito sa kita nila.

      Delete
    8. Sana mangyari na sa facebook, 443. Ang dumi na doon

      Delete
    9. @anon 5:36 they dont need to pay especially those that help and encourage people to use and engage in the platform..

      Delete
  3. Zuckerberg will surely adopt this style. Business is business.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
Db effective sa globe and smart?
Na bawasan spam and scammers sa cellphone db??
Wag na muna kayo kumontra sa Twitter and check the positive effects and benefit of registering in twitter and having that blue check for the responsibility of the person/entity posting. Speak your mind, speak the truth and be responsible for it, be accountable for it. While there is a business aspect naman tlga, Maganda rin mahahabol mo yung Tao or company.

If they want to protect their “celebrity status” and maintain the Blue checkmark pay up monthly $8.00 and for business or corporation/organization the Gold checkmark is $1,000.00 monthly

      Delete

    ReplyDelete
  6. Only con for this is dadami na lalo ang fake accounts at maniniwala sa mga fake accounts ng mga well known personalities

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Nope because you still need to verify it is you and pay up. Mas trackable yon diba so hopefully less trolls.

      Delete
    2. It's happening already. 2 nyc govt accounts are claiming they are the legit ones. Which is which? 😆

      Delete
    3. 12:45 mali ka gurl. Money na ang usapan. Kapag may money ka, khit hndi ka ang legit, u can still be verified

      Delete

      Delete
    5. Who is going under 500 Pesos monthly? Certainly, not me

      Delete

      Delete
    5. Jokes on you 10:53. Elon Musk is personally paying for Lebron James’ blue check mark lol he trolled himself. Especially since he has lost 13B of his net worth since this brouhaha started.

      Delete
  9. OMG, its the end of the world for those entitled celebrities. Just pay up and stop whining.

    ReplyDelete

  11. For ordinary accounts, no effect but for prominent people, it helps users identify which account is the real deal & which account is a poser.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. You said it yourself they are prominent then they should pay for that blue badge. Ano lagi na lang sila libre? And they expect the ordinary people to pay eh sila naman ang maraming pera.

      Delete
  12. As if mag-iiba ikot ng mundo nyo pag nawala un

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  14. Sus, $8 lang di nyo ma-afford! Puro kayo reklamo.

    1. 1:37 perpetual na yan or monthly?

      Delete
    2. 6:01 from what i know, monthly. Parang subscription lang sa netflix, spotify, etc.

      Delete

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Although I agree na some of them are shallow, I guess this is worrying for public figures since it'll be easier now for people to create fake celeb profiles that can be used to scam followers or spread fake news

      Delete
    2. 2:03
Then they should pay for it

      Delete
    3. Can’t these celebrities pay 8usd? They earn so much from people who watch and follow them, so why not take the responsibility to their account be accountable to the followers for a minimal fee?

      Delete
    4. 2:03 makes sense. Although parang di naman yung ang concern nila based sa mga paandar tweets nila about sa blue checkmark nila. Haha

      Delete
    5. $8/mo. Di nila ikakahirap yan.

      Delete
    6. 2:03 easy solution, they should pay. It's only $8.

      Delete

    ReplyDelete
  18. Barya lng siguro sa kanila If they pay right? For peace Of mind bayad na lng kyo hahaha.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Its not about paying the 8 usd to get the blue badge for verification purposes, a lot of people doesn't like Elon Musk. Such a shrewd businessman. So maybe, some will just let it be...

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Ego na lang yan Pero sa truth Elon is also trying to control Whats fake, ai and real people and entities. Alam nyo ba yung deep fakes. So kung Tao ka naman register and verify. Isipin nyo rin yang 8 usd na yan pambayad din sa pulis Kalawakan ( internet police- yes meron at May courses na for this sa ibang bansa) to monitor fake news and to guard your accounts.

      Delete
    2. 7:10 actually Elon Musk is admired by a lot of corporate people except for some entitled left wing libs.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. ++ Alyssa Milano also worked hand in hand with @caroline (the OG Twitter staff) kaya against sila sa new rules kasi pinaghirap nila 'yan na walang hininging $$$.

It was meant to mitigate fake news from posers.

      Delete
    2. Hahahahha dami ko tawa sayo baks

      Delete
  28. The fee is small compared to what they will retain as celebrities, etc. Maliit na halaga sus.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Dios mio. $8 isn't much

    ReplyDelete
  30. I think this will also eliminate those fake accounts if Twitter will charge for blue mark subscription.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  35. It’s $96 a year to get the Blue Check back.

    ReplyDelete
  36. And all these people are still alive while losing the blue verified mark…. So nothing changes with their lives. OA!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Even Instagram may bayad na monthly kung magpapa verify. kaloka ha! Mukhang perang socmed hahahhah

    ReplyDelete
  38. Just pay to get the blue checkmark back and expense it.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Yung mga so so celebrities pa talaga ang nag reklamo. Di nga affected mga famous accounts eh 😆

    ReplyDelete
  40. The rich and popular are used to receiving things for free. Banks give to them good credit, some companies gift them things to promote their products and which creates a false idea that they deserve more than anyone. They have to pay. Period.

    ReplyDelete
  41. i checked other celeb local or international. Wala ng blue check

    ReplyDelete
  42. It's literally $8 to pay for it and these celebrities that make millions of dollars are acting so entitled and OA - like they charge crazy amounts for their concerts, or people pay money to watch their movies, or buy brands they support and they are acting so devious over $8??!!! Dude...buisness is business - they of all people should know that as they charge crazy amounts for people just to see them in concerts or endeavors...Seriously these celebrities that are making a fuss over $8 need to get over themselves

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. That’s monthly and Elon will increase that with inflation

      Delete
    2. True. Truth is they need to get over themselves

      Delete
  43. This is dangerous, actually. For those who have the money to get the blue mark, say a govt trying to spread a propaganda, they can use this to setup multiple accounts with blue mark and make it seem that these accounts support their propaganda. So, for those saying that it’s nothing and it’s just $8, think again. That’s a measly amount for anyone who has the money to deceive people for their own benefit.

    1. 9:33 for corporation, organization, government entities it is not blue check mark but Gold checkmark and it’s USD 1,000.00 monthly

      Delete
    2. So you are thinking that Twitter dont vet those applying for check mark?

      Delete
    3. 1133, this is money we are talking about. Even now, there are talks that the new owner is paying for the blue mark of OTHER prominent people. So, how can you trust an online application system in this case?

  44. Musk needs to recoup some of the 23B he paid for Twitter.

  46. Thank God I don't have Twitter lol! Parang artista din ako no? LOL!

They are acting like entitled children.....I will never support these celebrities again....literally their true colors are showing for just $8 dollars....the normal person who works a regular job pays for this on Twitter but they are acting like it is so above them to pay $8 when they have millions of dollars. They need to get over themselves. This actually makes everyone equal on Twitter and not just have a system for entitled celebrities
