Still wish for the best for Rabiya, though....

      Delete
    3. Di nga. Memorized ang sentences niya.

      Delete
    4. Ok naman ha, she wasn’t that bad at all. Ano bang ine expect mo, mala Oprah or Hillary Clinton levels? Paka hirap naman ma please ng mga nega people na to.

      Delete
    5. True! Top 21 may chance siya.

      Delete
    6. 1:13 not bad if you’re use to listening Filipinos speaking in hard English accent, but if you live in countries where English is the main language in a daily conversation , trust me Rubiyas accent is like digging a hole to your πŸ‘‚

    7. Nothing wrong kung memorized but she could have delivered it better to sound as if hindi siya memorized. Or she could have used a prompter na naka attach sa phone/camera. There were some awkward pauses and mistakes sa delivery. Iba-iba ang background ng mga contestants which suggests that the contestants made their videos on their own. It would have been better if she repeated her presentation. It doesn’t look like a finished product for me.

      Delete
    9. 1:50 yabang mo naman. Her message is clear, she enunciated her words clearly and that's all we can ask for.

      Delete
    10. 1:06 mikropono ni Clint?

      Delete
    11. Anon 1:50 yabang mo! Sakit sa mata and brains sinulat mo lol

      Delete
    12. 1:50, there is nothing wrong with Rabiya's accent. Every country has accent. What's wrong is people looking down on others because of having native accent. A lot of people find Western Accent (French, British, American or Russian) sexy and dislike Asian or African accent. You should watch Project Nightfall to get an insight on how to be more accepting of others' accent.

      Delete
Sorry not sorry.

      Delete

      Delete
    17. 1.01 there's no "cope up" in her sentence. Where did you hear that?

      Delete
  2. She is eloquent but she needs to polish her diction.

    ReplyDelete

    1. You mean with an American accent? Ang daming nananalo who don't even speak English

      Delete
    2. She lacks the depth in character and she needs to be more sincere in delivering her message across. Why did they release this video? She sounded rehearsed and not genuine. Parang napaka rushed ng pagkakagawa.

      Delete
    3. What 9:39 said. It is not so much the diction or having a neutral accent. It comes off as rehearsed nga and hindi genuine

      Delete
  3. Waley. Australia, Japan and Colombia bet ko.

    1. Australia din talaga nangangain ng mic

    2. malakas ang laban ni Obdam, yung Thailand. Magaling magsalita.

      Delete
    3. 8:10 - THAILAND HAS BEEN SENDING GOOD ENGLISH SPEAKERS THE LAST 3 YEARS (EXCEPT IYONG BATCHMATE NI CATRIONA) BUT THEY LACK DEPTH. KAPAG NANDUN SA TOP 5 Q&A, HINDI SILA NAKAKAPAG-ISIP NG MALALIM. WATCH MO SA YOUTUBE.

      Delete
    4. 8:10 anong magaling? Have you seen ger Q&A in Miss Universe Thailand? Same sila ni Rabiya walang substance yung answer

      Delete
    5. magagaling sa interview portion aside from USA, sila Miss Australia and watch out for Miss Mexico.

      Delete
  4. Sorry pero walang dating yung introduction. Sana inayos munang mabuti before it's submitted. Unless yun na yung best version niya.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Actually, she is full on confidence magsalita.. pero yung mga choice ng words nya are generic..

      Delete
  6. Susme atih pilit na pilit... regardless, good luck pa rin. Dami nag back out so edge na yun

    ReplyDelete
  7. This is the 2nd time na di tayo pasok sa semis and I understand that. 1st was Gazini, sash factor lang kaya nakasama sa semis. Same lang sila ng style. Patriotism eme. To the point na ang pangit ng evening gown ni Gazini nung prelim. Nasobrahan sa details.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. si Gazini, ganyan ang naging problema. Sa interview portion. Hindi ma articulate yung sasabihin niya.

      Delete
  8. Hopefully if she reaches the top 5 and so on, makasagot sya ng walang stammer.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. She won’t reach Top 5, maybe top 21.

      Delete

      Delete
  9. Parang di nag-almusal si ateng. Kulang sa energy at enthusiasm. Nawalan tuloy ng saysay yung intro niya. It’s not what you say but how you say it.

    ReplyDelete
  10. She needs to improve her delivery..she should make it sound spontaneous and speak w/ strong convictions..parang masyadong malumanay?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Walang umph.. The way she speaks ang boring. Pero ganda nya dun sa beach ah.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. True.

      Delete
  12. Wala bang editor na pwede ma-hire?

    ReplyDelete
  13. Pinoy lang nakakaappreciate kay rabiya

    ReplyDelete

    1. Exactly! Pinoys who never traveled abroad

      Delete
    2. korek.

      Delete
    3. Mayabang na pinoy u mean? I live in Canada but I appreciate her, don’t expect CAT from her she wasn’t born and raised abroad.

      Delete
    4. Hahaha excuse me? Nasa labas ako ng bansa at working as Manager with europeans, americans, nigerians, indians and other asians aside pinoy. At walang problema sa pananalita ni Rabiya. Wag lahatin iha.lolss

      Delete
  14. She speaks with an accent and there's nothing wrong with that. Yun nga lang she tends to stammer or stumble in her train of thought.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. 1:26 True.

Anyways, good luck pa rin girl. Suportahan kita sa boto pero after non, you're on your own.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete

    1. She said “Land a great job” not lead

      Delete
    2. Land ata yung baks, “able to land a great job” ang heavy ng filipino accent nya muntik ko na din hindi maintindihan haha

      Delete
    3. 10:23 what's wrong with her Filipino accent? She's a Filipina. I want you and Rabiya do a debate and show us what accent is right.

      Delete

    2. May point naman ang mga nagcomment. Sorry but the truth hurts. Learn to accept that everything is not all sunshine and roses.

      Delete
    3. tama yung mga comments dito, you should take constructive criticism. Chaka talaga mga gowns.

      Delete
  21. It seems di nya gaano namemorize lines nya. She should have said her lines with confidence and conviction. Accent does not matter.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Parang awkward pakinggan yung pagsasalita nya. Hindi ako aasa dito pero I still hope she gets the

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. true. dapat mga sagot mo yung mga tatatak sa audience kita mo naman last year ang nanalo. With conviction lahat ng sagot niya.

      Delete
  23. No offense to her pero hindi mukang Pilipina si Rabiya. Sana next time, pure Pinay na kunin.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies

      Delete
    2. walang pure pinay teh. Mahirap maghanap ng ganyan. Halos lahat halfie , may lahi.

      Delete
    3. 3:00 eto nanaman yung "pure pinay." me ruler ba na pangsukat or something na pwede gamitin next time to meet the measure of pureness na hinahanap
      mo?

  24. Boring! Trying hard na trying hard talaga dating niya

    ReplyDelete
  25. her speech cant move people. omg hanggang pang top 21 lang

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. kulang di ba teh? parang hirapan mag explain.

      Delete
    2. 3:16 True. Ang pangit na inuuna niya lagi ang ‘i came from/I really had humble beginnings’. Pwede naman niya i inject yun after niya sabihin na importante ang education para sa kanya because it is what transformed her life blah blah. Yun tipong ‘awww laking hirap sya o’

      Delete
    3. 10.17 I'm sorry but ang pangit ng suggestion mo.

      Delete
  26. Maganda kung sa maganda pero kakabahan ito! For sure! Puede na top 20! Ligwak na sa 15! I’m being nice na ha.

    ReplyDelete
  27. She's not eloquent even before she won MUP , not like Cat or Pia, not as confident as the two past miss U when they delivered their own intro... Good luck to you girl .

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Pia is not eloquent, rehearsed at shallow answers same sila nitong Rabiya! Cat lang talaga may utak.

      Delete

      Delete
  28. Hindi M.U material. Clapper lang to for sure.

    ReplyDelete
  29. all the WEY from the Philippines

    ReplyDelete
  30. At least she's trying her best.

      Delete
    2. Alam mo ba yung constructive criticism?

      Delete
  31. But she waa not the frontrunner nung MUP, di nyo sya napansin before, pero sy nag emerge.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hindi ko nga alam bat nanalo sya, eh ang generic ng sagot nya lalo na dun sa “the president that we never had” jusko gamit na gamit na

      Delete

    ReplyDelete
  33. Same sila ng advocacy ni Ariella Arida

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  35. Wag nyo husgahan english na guys. Kahit nga ms u from way before eh may translator. Pinoy sya... ganyan tayo mostly mag english. At least sya may beauty.. kayo nga?? Tingin2 din sa salamin lolzz

    1. May angle kaya sya na mej chaka, wag kami ha hahaha karamihan dito sa fp magaganda

      Delete
  36. She needs more training..it's her first time to compete in a beaucon in the phils. unlike Pia and Cat mga beterana na sa beaucon kaya hasang hasa na..kawawa naman si Rabiya i think she's really trying her best.. Very neophyte..

    ReplyDelete
    Replies

      Delete
  37. Edited ba ito or impromptu?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I think this is impromptu. She wouldn’t stammer if she was reading it or she memorized it. The pause, and the intonations indicate that it’s impromptu based on my observation.

      Delete
  38. Okay naman diction nya nung Bb bakit parang nag-iba? Dahil ba sa veeneers? Mas okay pa yung Davao, Bohol, at Taguig tbh

    ReplyDelete
  39. Deer on headlights ang peg niya.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  41. Yun ganito hindi mine memorize. It should come out naturally.Bilang isang english major this is majorπŸ‘ŽπŸΌ

    ReplyDelete
  42. Bring on the top 10 or 5 is okay na siguro. No pressure

    ReplyDelete
  43. Sobrang gusto ko manalo ulet tayo, pero ung intro palang na filmed in a very controlled setting at pwedeng ulitin pag hindi perfect, πŸ‘Ž na.
Pano nalang sa international beauty pageant stage. 😱
    #truthlang

    Replies
    1. sino ba mga trainers/advisers/handlers nya? im sure pinanood nila to after. wala man lang nagsabi na tanggalin or ulitin natin yung part na nagkamali ka? what a huge failure sa part ng team nya.

      Delete
  44. bat ganun magsalita?

    ReplyDelete
  45. top #5 bet na si Rabiya according to Missosology. may chance tayo! kaya wag ng maging nega 😊

    ReplyDelete
  46. Its not about the accent alone but how she delivers it.

    ReplyDelete
  47. She was trying so hard to pronounce the words properly but it comes across as "pilit". Matalino naman sya pero just like any normal filipino na hindi laking ibang bansa, pag nag english ganun talaga ang tunog, gaya nung sa kanya. But it doesnt mean she cant express herself in english. Sana nagpractice sya, kasi ang haba ng oras nya before the pageant. Napag-aaralan naman yan. Also para nababagalan ako sa salita nya, siguro kasi takot sya magkamali at pinipilit nyang ma i pronounce ng maayos yung words.

    ReplyDelete
Haha! Ipagdasal na lang natin ang success niya. Sana makasagot ng maayos at Di magkalat.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Nakakaloka... mga mapanlait! Maano kung Pinoy accent...eh taga Pinas sya? Don't compare apples to oranges. Muning was raised abroad diba? Saka hasa sa public speaking. Not sure about Rabiya though.

      Delete

    ReplyDelete
  52. Sorry ha. Di ko ma take na teacher tapos ganyan magsaita.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Lol, you are just bitter. There is nothing wrong with her speech. Stop hating.

      Delete
  53. Well, wish you all the best. Laban parin tayo.
Ngayon iba ang gurl, overall they really worked on her, iba ang datingan e. Anyway, Go parin. Cross fingers for our Miss U Rabiya.

    ReplyDelete
  54. It is not perfect but it is good enough for me. If it is the best way she knows how then it's great. Mga nega lang kasi iba rito. Go Philippines!!!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Am curious. What’s wrong with Filipino English accents? Am working with a very diverse professionals and they like our accent a lot. Malinaw daw tayo mag pronounce ng words.

    ReplyDelete
  56. You got this, Rabiya! Don't listen to these trolls because they are trolls and there's nothing good coming from their st***y mouth!

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  60. In a pageant, everything should be 'perfect'. I wish somebody helped fix her audio as well. There was too much background noise going on..

    ReplyDelete
  61. She is gorgeous and well-spoken. Best of luck to her.

    ReplyDelete
Miss Vietnam 2018 is a good example. She fought a good fight despite the language barrier. A representative has to show the organization who she really is rather than fitting herself into the so-called miss universe mold. Since she is wearing a “Philippines” sash, let us show our support by giving her our vote to secure her a spot in the top 21.
