    1. Yes they are, they’re the few brave unbiased news org in the country. And the borta thing is a measure of credibility for you?!?? Lol. For all we know it’s staff joke that turned to error.

    3. Napa-"UNSUBSCRIBE" tuloy ako sa Inquirer. Very nega ang dating, pwe!!!

    4. Irresponsible naman kasi niyan. They should fire the Staff member who inserted that word there.

  2. Coming from a distinguish news bringer! Eto masaya sa social media/internet Nawawala yung Class/Conduct/Courtesy ng isang tao at lumalabas yung mga totoong kulay at pagkatao nila dahil nalilimutan nilang kahit anonymous o hindi sila nakikita e natatype nila yung mga iniisip nila at nalilimutan nilang maraming makakakita nung mga pinaguusapan lang nila ng pribado between families and friends and in drinking sessions!

    4. Napanuod mo yung movie ni Jean Claude Van Damme yung Kumite fight? Yung kalaban niya Yun yung Borta!

      Delete
    5. Haha di ko din alam ang borta

      Delete
    6. Borta isa gay lingo meaning large built, usually term for men na malaki ang katawan na puro muscles so clearly this is body sharming sa babae unless she gave you her permission to call her that.

    7. 'Yung mga laman ng gyms at fitness centers at nagbabasa ng FP, kami ang mga borta. 😊

  4. Inquirer, why o why? I'm okay when you shade those corrupt politicians. Pero this is body shaming. Michele doesn't deserve this.

  5. I don't like how MG responded on her lose in MUPh pero mas di ko gusto ang banat ng Inquirer. Kacheapan.

  6. Grabe ha. Ang asim nung journalist.
Pero di ba di yan counted as libel? Correct me if im wrong mga beks.

    1. Correct. Not libel. But very unprofessional. Parang tabloid lang talaga. Ang cheap.

      Delete
    2. No, it's not libel, but it's not right either. Borta means muscular, which MG is, but it's meant as a derogatory word since musculadas are frowned upon in Asia.

    3. She can sue for emotional distress which can lead to depression.

  7. Suits with her tho. Maangas rin naman siya.

    1. But still wag naman bastusin yung tao.

      Delete

      Delete
    3. The term is suits her, not suits WITH her. If you are offended because I corrected you, how much more if you are body shamed.

      Delete
    4. Tingin nga ng borta/malnourished/majubis mong figure.

      Delete
  8. Very unprofessional for a newspaper to post. Tsk!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Whatever happened to responsible journalism.... Galit siguro ang author kay michelle, kaya sinama sa draft but forgot to take it out upon posting.

  10. Tabloid na tabloid ang Inquirer ha!

    ReplyDelete
  11. omg sorry pero natawa ko sa borta 🙈

    1. Oh yeah? What's so funny about it?

      Delete
  12. Kelan pa naging tabloid level ang Inquirer? Hahaha.

    ReplyDelete
  13. This is just so wrong. Body shaming by so-called journalists??? Maling mali!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Diko din naman bet si MG pero INQUIRER this was done in a bad taste. Very wrong. Mas nagmukha kayong cheap

    ReplyDelete
  15. totoo or hindi BORTA si MG, hindi pa rin nice or dapat na isulat or idikit sa name nya.

    1. It was done with malice and very offensive. It was done intentionally as an insult to inflict emotional pain. Inquirer needs to do a public apology.

      Delete
  16. Napaka walang class na ng inquirer. I used to subscribe their Sunday ish during 90s. Glorious days nila yan

    ReplyDelete
  17. There's an employee here in California who sued her employer for body shaming. The employee won the lawsuit and retired early with a big settlement. Michele can sue the Inquirer too for body shaming (INTENTIONAL INFLICTMENT OF EMOTIONAL DISTRESS). Calling her Borta can cause her pain and suffering leading to depression and social withdrawal. I say sue them.

    1. Lol k. Frivolous.

      Delete
    2. 3:45PM It's a national newspaper. It's malicious and meant to insult her. It's definitely NOT frivolous.

      Delete
    3. 10:55, thank you. FYI, 3:45, What do I gain if I make up stories? I am not a lawyer so obviously I can't make up the charges of Intentional inflictment. I am glad I live in a country where they have compassion for the PWDs, inhumane treatment of people and animals, our old folks, the homeless etc. . .because if we don't, it will be very hard for us to believe these and it would be easy for us to think that these stories are FRIVOLOUS.

      Delete
    4. 2:23 was just sharing a story and her opinion. So 3:45 frivolous pala yun?

      Delete
  18. Stop this body shaming! She is beautiful & she has the body of a champion.

    1. Michele reminds me of Minorka Merkado, Miss Universe 1994 2nd runner-up, who happened to be part of the national volleyball team, too. ❤

      Delete
    2. Kala ko has a body of a borta.

      My bad!

      Delete
    3. champion saang discipline? please elaborate.

      Delete
  19. Unprofessional pero lmao

    ReplyDelete
  20. She's tall and has a large built, she's an athlete, there's nothing wrong with her bodya ng sexy nga nya nung naka swimsuit na sa MUP grabe kayo

    ReplyDelete

Mainit pa siya ngayon dahil sa walkout chuchu niya after the pageant. Wala na sigurong mukhang maihaharap. Anyabang kasi. Hahaha

      Delete
    2. The admin of Bella Ysmael's FB page clarified this one. May courtesy call daw si MG kaya di naka-attend.

      Delete
Hindi naman yan parang in a span of two days nanghingi ang show ni Willie na mag-guest sila dun ano. Hindi yan ora-orada.

Sabihin mo, alibi na lang niya yan at wala nang maipapakitang pagmumukha dahil sa pag-walk out niya. that's all.

      Delete
  22. WTH. INQUIRER BA TALAGA YAN? KALA MO TABLOID E.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Okay, I do not like her. But this is foul.

    ReplyDelete
  24. What's wrong with being borta? Isn't it supposed to be a compliment? She has an athletic body, so she is muscular...

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. what's wrong is that Michele doesn't have that moniker. who gave permission to inquirer to just call somebody something? it's like calling a girl "tibo" in a professional article. while being tibo is not bad or dangerous at all, it is not proper to JUST do that.

plus, she joined a pageant wherein people were shaming her for her body built, citing that as one of the factors why she lost. so i don't see borta here as a compliment at all.

      Delete
  25. Oh wow. First thing I wanted to know was what's BORTA? And before I could google it, you guys already answered the question. Wtf?! That's offensive. And..no apology?!

    ReplyDelete
  26. sexy and ganda pa din kahit athletic built =)

    ReplyDelete
All Inquirer did was to pick up on the scoop.

Mayabang kasi siya at overconfident. Kaya ansakit ng lagapak.

Hindi na rin siya pwede for any beauty competition, kahit gustuhin pa niya, kasi overage na siya. Balik ka na lang sa volleyball hija. Teritoryo mo talaga doon walang tataob sa yo.

    1. What she did and how she reacted to her loss has nothing to do with how that newspaper should describe her. doesn't warrant anything, and does not justify anything either.

      Delete
  28. Saw her in person at ang ganda ng katawan ni Michelle. Ganda ng posture at she looks strong but slim. My ideal body type.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Draft lang siguro yan that got accidentally posted. Yung employee na taga-post sa social media probably wrote a joke caption at nakalimutang palitan before posting. Stupid unprofessional mistake

    ReplyDelete
  30. it shows how the writer see michelle gumabao.irreponsible coming from a broadsheet.

    ReplyDelete
  31. michelle?? maganda oo..pero not beauty queen material....tama naman na runner up siya sa 2 pinagsalihan nya....kahit sa PBB pabibo sia...halatang hindi totoo...asa field of sports siya..yet alang sportmanship sa hindi pag attend ng presscon right after the coronation....

  32. This is a low blow pero natawa ako HAHAHA sorry
