    1. akala ko din may green card na sya prior to marriage kse matagal sya nagstay sa states before and dun nga nya nameet husband nya sa stay nya na un. I wonder anong us visa gamit nya that time at nakapagstay sya ng matagal.

    2. Even B1 B2 visa holders (tourist) can stay there max 6 months.

    3. ang technique kasi sa us visa. dapat nakarating kana sa ibang bansa. humble kadapat ,straight to the point sa interview. tita ko 5yrs binigay sakanyang visa kaya nagtnt na lang sya ,lagpas 10 yrs nasya doon sa us. p.s wag daw mayabang or abnoy sumagot sa interview big no no sa kukuha ng interview. try nyo munang mag ibang bansa sa kalapit na countries mas may chances na mabigyan ka ng tourist visa sa mga malalaking country.

    4. wala rin guarantee kahit nakarating ka sa ibat ibang bansa. nung first time ko nag apply sinabi ko lang na manunuod ako ng concert ng isang sikat na band, m young, not enough money or travel history during that time pero sinabi ko lng totoo. i was initially granted a muktiple visa, ung kasabay ko that time andami pa pinakita na stamp sa passport pero waley din.. sa totoo lang minsan swerte lng din tlga walang certain formula

    5. Naku, dasal at swerte yan minsan. Naawa kse ata sakin ung consul kse basang basa ako ng ulan (nung araw kse wala pang telon sa labas ng embassy pag pipila ka for your appointment.

    2. Dun na sya titira to be with her husband, police na ang husband nya dun at nakabili na sila ng bahay, need talaga na may isa na mag compromise

    6. And Philippines is a better place to live than the US? people can say whatever they want about the US but I would rather live here than anywhere else in The world.

      Delete

      Delete
    8. Maybe for people without a degree. So far, maayos buhay if nurse ka sa Northern California. The highest rate per hour in the entire US.

      Delete
    9. Malaki US te. Generalize ang news. Anong nangyayayari sa New York not necessarily happening in Maine or other states. Think about that.

    10. It’s way much better than Philippines tho

    11. I’m here and it’s definitely the best place to live...

    13. @3:27, Excuse me too, 1:46 is just giving her thoughts, your response is so rude and bragging. Just respect him/her. I'm not 1:46, though.

      Delete
    14. @3:27 AM, "all your life" talaga? I doubt.
If you live here in the US that long you should be more flexible to what they say "freedom of speech" Opinion ni @1:46 AM yun kaya wag ka na mag maasim. :-P

I totally agree with @1:46 AM that the US is not the best place to live. To others, wag na kayong mayamot at wala naman syang sinabi na Pinas ang the best place to live.

I live here in the past 10yrs. I used to live in many other places/countries as well, some work others for studies so I have the privilege to compare. In my opinion there are lots of other countries na maayos tumira, may mga pangit may magandang palakad. Para sa mga nandito sa US "all their life" na hindi pa nakaranas na tumira sa iba, well, sayang ang buhay nyo. Go out and see the world (after COVID nga lang)

      Delete
    15. 12:03 while it may not be the best place for you to live, I would pick it over any countries where I have lived in Europe for example : Italy and Belgium where people openly display their disrespect and disdain towards a Filipino. Porket pilipino katulong na agad? That’s the kind of disrespect I experienced over there. The US may not be perfect but at least Filipinos get better jobs in different fields and respected kahit pa paano. Hindi yung minamaliit ka. Puro racist racist about sa US eh kamo mga Filipino napaka racist din naman.

    16. 4:49 tama ka and even if wala kang degree you can make a lot of money in the US. I'm pretty sure yung mga nannies esp sa NY earn almost as much as those who work in healthcare since wala silang tax, but that may not be 1:49's main point. Never naging madali para sa mga pinoy na makapasok sa US sa legal na working visa unless sa in demand na field ka nagtatrabaho (and over the recent years those were starting to disappear too, dahil saturted na yung nursing at physical therapy job market and some states actually established rules to make sure na yung mga US citizen ang makakakuha ng mga trabaho na yun, for example hindi ka pwedeng mag major ng nursing sa mga city universities ng new york if you are not a citizen, F-1 visa holder, or a green card holder) at ngayon after ng pandemic at depende sa outcome ng eleksyon, it may evwn be more difficult for filipinos to come here dahil mataas ang unemployment. So magintay ka man for a few years working a min wage job (not that it's bad, makakasurvive ka parin kahit papaano if wala ka sa major metropolis areas na mataas ang rent or kung may side job ka) once permanemt resident or citizen ka na ng canada ang daming opportunities na pwede mong iaccess, you can even go back to school and obtain an in demand degree. Sa US, madami tayong kababayan na naiiwan sa limbo dahil naoover age, out of status, o nakakamatayan ng nagpepetisyon na magulang, and in the end get stuck in the shadows working hard under the table jobs para makaprovide sa pamilya sa pilipinas. It's not easy being a filipino immigrant in the US, ni hindi tayo qualified for visa lottery and pag pinetition ka ng family member mo you'd have to wait for at least 10 years, unlike immigrants from other countries like bangladesh, poland, etc., unless magpapakasal ka. Kahit yung mga nasa healthcare (you would probably know this too) they have to start from the bottom and work their way up, with companies taking advantage of them and paying them with lower rates kumpara dun sa mga US citizen at sa may mga greencard na, even if in most cases, mas may compassion at mas maayos magtrabaho ang mga pinoy. I'd say Canada is a better option if path to citizenship ang paguusapan.

    17. 12:03, the US is not the place to live pala pero nasa US ka pa rin.

      Delete
    18. 11:09 AM, may free check up sa center baka pwede ka pasalaminan.

Di ko sinabing, "the US is not the place to live". It is not the BEST though. BUT, I dont mind living here since nandito ang buong family ko. After all, excited ako palagi lumipat kung saan saang lugar/bansa. Study or work or anything basta legal ang stay at disente ang buhay.

  13. I have 10 year multiple entry tourist visa, altho di ko pa nagamit. Ayun dito, can stay 6 months at a time. Exit ka for a few days and pwede naman mubalik for another 6 months and repeat cycle. Baka ganyan din visa type niya.

Sa isang pamilya mansan isa Lang May work so meron talagang bantay na tambay.

      Delete
I've been working as a nursing aide in a nursing home here in CA and merong ibang matatanda halos wala nadalaw at tumatawag even pre-covid.

  32. Sa mga nag sasabi ng explore the world, have you really tried exploring the world as a brown or black person? Yes there are racists in America as well as Canada but it’s nearly not as bad as racism in Europe and even in some countries in Asia. Have you tried going to these countries na Sobrang homogenous? They look at you with disgust and treat you like poop. At least in the US May variety ang mga tao hindi lng puti. Or kung ano man homogenous na population. Happy for Ruffa Me makaka piling na nya hubby nga todo na to!

    1. Well yes I have. and I don't mean just the European countries by my statement of exploring the world. Oh and btw, I have not experienced racism in my stay in Europe. I know there are a lot of pervs and racist from there and I'm sorry if you have experienced such

      Delete
    2. We all have our own take on things. If it worked for her living in Europe and things worked better for you in the US, then great. At the end of the day, whatever makes us happy and comfortable is fine. kaya love love love.

    3. Racism is everywhere - it can be rampant in some countries/state and less in some but racism can only affect you if you let it.

    5. Hmmm, I’ve been to Europe, North and South America, Australia and Asia and I’ve never really encountered racism.

      Delete
    6. While I agree that in the US e may variety ng tao, it is also in the US that my kid was bullied badly in school because she is of mixed race. We used to live in Eastern PA and a "karen" would often ask me what my nationality was and if I'm legal to live there. We have eventually decided to settle in SG because of hubby's work and the trauma we have experienced living in the US.

      Delete
    7. I have experienced racism in France but actually it was also a French National who defended me. I was treated so well in Poland where I look so different. I always got the “stare” but I sometimes consider its only because im unusual. In the US, people won’t even give a second glance just because I’m Asian. Alam niyo we all get to experience stuff from places we’re not really from but that shouldn’t stop us from chasing a place that we can call home - wherever that may be.

  34. People here trying to make it sound that US citizens don’t travel outside their own country. Very ignorant. If a lot of people think living in the US the best for them then, there must be a reason. I can say the same thing about Canada. I’ve worked there for 8 years. Didn’t like it because of the bitter cold weather. Is the US perfect? Definitely not. Is the Philippines the best place to live in the world? Definitely not but to some people it is. I would always love the Philippines and will be forever hopeful for my home country.
