  1. Saw Kwaresma on Netflix. Had high expectations given that the director is very haughty and opinionated about films he did not produce, write, or direct. It was very boring, disorganized, and failed as a horror movie. Wasted hours of my life trying to finish it, waiting to see until the last few minutes of the movie if there would be a miraculous twist that could change my opinion. The only thing good about it was John Arcilla who never disappoints.

    1. I agree with you 1000%. Sharon really lacks depth to own the character.

    3. Awww. It was very dragging for me, too. Di ko na tuloy na tapos. So may big reveal pala?

    4. I saw the movie too. No blame for the actors though cause I think they all did what they were supposed to do. It was the script, the direction, and the story that is not really good. Walang build up, puro jump scare to the point that none worked and it became a snooze fest.

    1. Onga. Napalabas na ba dito sa Pinas? Di ko nabalitaan kasi. Parang maganda kasi ang story.

  3. Kwaresma is a mish mash of The Shining, The Conjuring, and Ring. It even tried so hard to get the effect of that twist in Shutter it failed miserably.

Not much of sharon parang dati pa rin style nya sa pag arte considering na first horror sana nya ito

    2. Yun ang napansin ko sa Filipino movies. Either slow and dragging siya or pilit na pinupuno ng dialogue. Pero Hello Love Goodbye was quite a surprise...mabilis ang flow and although may dialogue na medyo pilit, ok naman

    3. I have to stop watching dun sa first part kasi sobrang pabebe ng boses at acting ni sharon. So fast forward na lang and sa bandang middle parang contrived na yung acting niya. Sayang, they could have taken advantage of the setting kung solid lang sana yung story.
