She wasn't doing it the whole time. Nakakapagbakasyon sya and may certain months lang siya na scheduled for training pero yung iba di pa natuloy because of her finger accident.

Binanggit nya sa Bagani finale presscon yan injury. Marami syang pics na may benda finger nya last year. Sa mga videos nya (sa IG and YouTube) kita na hirap sya gamitin yung finger nya till now. She was still able to go to gym pero hindi ganon ka-intense as before. Even Quen said late last year sa isang interview na pinapagaling pa yung finger ni Liza.
I am a fan. But I also had doubts Liza pulling off Darna given na medyo mahinhin ang persona niya, unlike Angel na medyo kaya mag astig o meron angas sa mukha. She is perfect for the role but di na pwede. I think Liza could still be Darna but maybe she needs to still be a little older so she is more confident doing Darna. There is hope.

As much as I would love for Angel to reprise the role let’s be honest she’s not only still not in shape but she’s too old. It’s time for a new mellenial Darna for this generation thus why Liza was casted. There’s no one else amongst Liza’s batch that fits the role! 9:29 PREACH!! What she did wasn’t easy! There are many people who think she made the wrong decision, that her injured finger isn’t worth losing Darna over. They think she’s losing an opportunity of a lifetime. But the fact that Liza knows all this and still chooses to let go of Darna shows she really wants the project to succeed with or without her! It’s not even really about her finger but moreso how her injury has made her feel less like she could be Darna. She no longer feels she can give justice to the role when she’ll constantly feel hesitant and scared performing stunts, she can’t give it her all when she has physical limitations now.
Tbh Darna shoood be given to a newbie. This is the type of role that can make anyone a star as casuals will be interested to see the movie itself since it’s such an iconic character. it doesn’t have to be an already established/popular actress! ReplyDeletepinanood mo ba? sobrang gusto niyang gawin ang Darna sobrang iconic ng role it would greatly help sa career niya but it just so happen nagka injury siya, people expect so much from her in playing Darna she wanted to make her bosses, her fans and the viewers proud of her but how can she do that with an injured finger? she can't even properly grip not hold grip, she can't properly make a fist when punching kasi bali nga yung buto unless people want camera tricks and stuntsman to do all of the stunts sa personality ni Liza hindi naman siya papayag ng ganun gusto niya kung gagawin niya yung Darna yung masasabi niyang she give it her all

DeleteBinanggit nya sa Bagani finale presscon yan injury. Marami syang pics na may benda finger nya last year. Sa mga videos nya (sa IG and YouTube) kita na hirap sya gamitin yung finger nya till now. She was still able to go to gym pero hindi ganon ka-intense as before. Even Quen said late last year sa isang interview na pinapagaling pa yung finger ni Liza.

DeleteI am a fan. But I also had doubts Liza pulling off Darna given na medyo mahinhin ang persona niya, unlike Angel na medyo kaya mag astig o meron angas sa mukha. She is perfect for the role but di na pwede. I think Liza could still be Darna but maybe she needs to still be a little older so she is more confident doing Darna. There is hope.

DeleteIts way too different in Hollywood. They have advanced technology the reason why Gadot was able to pull it through despite her pregnancy. Its different in the Phils. The actors/doubles need to do the stunts themselves as technology cannot do it for them

As much as I would love for Angel to reprise the role let’s be honest she’s not only still not in shape but she’s too old. ReplyDeleteYou can tell she’s disappointed at herself for not being able to pull through🙁 It takes a lot of courage to publicly admit you’re the reason why you’re letting go of something that not only you’ve worked so long and hard for but also something that people especially your bosses wanted for you. Giving up Darna is like giving up fame and fortune but she did it for the better of the project knowing that she no longer feels confident enough to portray Darna. Hats off to Liza for her bravery to be honest! More blessings will surely come her way🙏🏼🙏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
ReplyDelete9:29 PREACH!! What she did wasn’t easy! There are many people who think she made the wrong decision, that her injured finger isn’t worth losing Darna over. They think she’s losing an opportunity of a lifetime. But the fact that Liza knows all this and still chooses to let go of Darna shows she really wants the project to succeed with or without her! It’s not even really about her finger but moreso how her injury has made her feel less like she could be Darna. She no longer feels she can give justice to the role when she’ll constantly feel hesitant and scared performing stunts, she can’t give it her all when she has physical limitations now.

Imo I think Yen Santos would be a great choice as she’s young, a good actress, and has a sexy body.

There’s a reason why it’s taken YEARS for Darna to fly.......it just wasn’t meant to be!! ABS needs to move on! Why waste millions when the people who were perfect for the project are now out!

I mean, why does it have to be too realistic that the actress playing the role had to be physically exhausted and injured all the time. For what?
