Must Take a Break

Influential Personality (IP) needs to take a leave from her duties in a major network. During one segment, IP was fed the wrong detail in the teleprompter. As soon as the staff and IP realized the crucial error during the commercial break, tempers flew and IP threw a coffee mug at A Staff (AS). IP was infuriated as such error could damage the reputation of the show. Besides, with active netizens, the erroneous segment could become viral and embarrass IP in cyberspace. Given her status, such is unacceptable. Nonetheless, an erratum was immediately written and read by IP.

However, such was not the first time that IP has resorted to throwing objects out of frustration. At one point when the cameraman missed her angle, she threw her shoe at the poor guy. Her present colleagues, including, a Pinch-Hitter (PH), were shocked at what they had witnessed. PH was allegedly cautious when he was about to face the camera. He was so afraid of not hitting the standards of IP.

In the network, IP already has a reputation for being a perfectionist and if she is unable to achieve that, she can rant and be rude toward the staff. Thus, her highly strung attitude is not surprising, but the accompanying actions started to alarm the production staff.

After the mug-throwing incident, a personal staff of IP approached AS to pacify the poor worker, who was bruised on the spot that the mug hit. The staff requested AS to extend patience, as IP might just be having a bad day. To compensate the trauma, AS was promised additional pay and requested further to stay quiet so as not to damage the reputation of IP.

Recently, in light of the odd behavior of IP, management deemed for her to take a break. Thus, IP was given a leave for her to chill and to be away from the stress of her jobs.

“I have to have a little bit of time to myself right before whatever it is that I have to do because most of the time I'm sitting in my head convincing myself to calm down, all right, show down.” – Christina Milian

Antagonizing Personality

Female Celebrity (FC) is being closely monitored and the production staff is just waiting for her to make a major blunder for her to be taken out of her lone project. Obviously, FC is not well-like by the staff, but they cannot do anything given that FC has strings to pull and is backed by Influential Personality (IP).

The problem with FC is that she can be quite tactless and rude when she starts talking. Instead of showing compassion or understanding, her statements come out as sarcastic and uncalled for remarks. Hence, she has built a reputation out of rudeness, which not too many people find appealing and has caused her job opportunities with her home network and in cyberspace.

When FC found out that IP was once again given a project, she asked for IP to talk to the production team to include her. FC was banking on the possibility that Steady Talent (ST) would not be returning and she could take over the slot. However, that plan was not going anywhere because the production has decided that Homegrown Personality 1 (HP1) and Homegrown Personality 2 (HP2) will be filling the vacancy left by ST.

FC would not hear of such and told IP that if she cannot be part of the project, then she, IP, should not join the project as well. As being with the project is very important for IP, she carefully talked to the production to give FC a chance. They agreed but set conditions, such as no offensive and rude antics that could malign the participants and fellow performers. Moreover, IP would be responsible for FC.

When the cameras started to roll, HP1, who is naturally funny and spontaneous, overshadowed FC, who turned out to be a bore. FC felt what happened and thus talked to the production to separate her and HP1. The production was shocked at the demands of FC, who was starting to show unsavory behavior. Worse, her actions toward the staff were offending. She made them do errands, such as preparing her coffee. The staff are not ordinary people, as they are college graduates and are not tasked to be the personal assistants of anyone.

For now, FC is being given the chance to continue, but everyone in the production knows that she only got the part because of IP and not on her merit.
