  1. Oh well, not going to happen in the Philippines. Basta tangkilikin nyo what you feel like watching. Hayaan nyo na yung gusto ng iba.

    1. Pinoys should not be surprised anymore when quality films are not the usual norms in this business.

While other Asian countries, for example, are doing all the best and quality films for domestic and international markets, Pinoy films are just for "audience satisfaction". Same old cookie-cutter rom-com and comedic style genres.

      Career, so so pa din.
Wala kasing charisma itong babaeng ito.

    3. teh she has a career. di siya nawawalan ng movie. steady lang si jas d man kasing laki ng iba yong star niya mas actress naman siyang masasabi at mas may naachieve na siya as an actress.

  4. I used to like the idea na quality films lang sana ang laman ng filmfest. But admit girl, hindi naman kayo kumikita. Pasko kasi and ung iba gusto masaya lang. There's cinemalaya, or di ako aware kung may iba pa.

    1. Exactly my point as well! Pera nila yun at pinaghirapan and they will make sure na worth it lahat ng pera nila sa movies na papanoorin nila. Pwede naman sila sa ibang festival. Yung puro dekalidad na movies.

      Delete
    2. NOPE. DESERVE NG TAONG BAYAN NA UMANGAT ANG TASTE SA FILMS.

    4. 1254 and 1:00 gawa po kayo ng filmfest for quality films kuno. Para di nyo panggigilan ung kumikitang movies dahil naghihingalo and napupull out bet nyo.

And fyi. I watched both TRS and larawan. Family with trs and bf with the latter. And pareho ko sila naenjoy. Point is, pera namin gamit namin kaya maglabas din kayo ng pera di ung nangingialam at nagmamagaling kayo.

      Delete
    5. 1254, you cannot advice the moviegoers on which films to watch. Kita mo naman last year, walang nangyari sa mga dekalidad na movies. Halos lahat eh flop. I am not against sa mga dekalibreng films na to but they should not compare it with mainstream movies at lalong lalo na wag silang magrereklamo kapag pinull out sa sinehan yan dahil walang nanonood or whatsoever!!!

  5. gone were the years when people anticipate the results for best picture, actor and actress. a lot of people nowadays wait for box office returns to praise/bash the movie stars.

    1. THEY SHOULD CHANGE THE NAME TO PHIL BOX OFFICE FESTIVAL.

    2. Hahahahaha. May punto ka baks!

Pasko naman so why not giva a chance the people to be happy. Besides choice nila kung ano gusto nilang panoorin.

      Delete
NO!!! tried and tested na yan last year. so wag kayong magrereklamo kung di tinatangkilik ang moview nio.

  6. I agree with Jasmine, hindi talaga dapat commercialism ang focus ng isang film festival. It really is to showcase talent ng industry and to introduce a different concept or genre. Tuwing pasko lang ang ganitong festival and rest of the year nakafocus na sa commercial and mainstream films.

    1. Educate yourself and bring jasmin with u. There are film festivals kasi other than mmff, like cinemalaya and cinefilipino. And bakit hindi kayo manood? On a regular date at hindi pasko, manonood ka ba talaga?

Bakit kelangan kasing ka-cheap-cheap-an pa talaga? May point si Jasmin; filmfest nga naman. #onliindafilipins

    1. truetolife. if may foreign film enthusiast tas makaka come across our so-called filmfest makocompare tlga sa ibang film fests. nakakahiya na ganyang films ang magdedefine sa filmfest of pinas

    2. Kasi enjoy sa kakatawa ang masang pilipino!

      Delete
Or Metro Manila Family Film Festival.

  8. Mas marami kasi ang masa jasmine so, don't expect your movie to hit the bigtime..filipinos want to be entertained w/ slap stick movies, that's what makes them happy even just for a couple of hours to forget their problems..you're in showbusiness it's your job to entertain us! You're lucky you don't have to worry about where to get your next meal, you don't line up in the mrt or worry about rent, etc.

  9. Tama nmn si jasmine.
Maayos nmn nyang cnabi yong opinion nya.
    Opinion lng nmn,hindi nagpipilit.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Filmfest... yes. Hindi mo pwede ipilit sa isang tao ang gusto mo regardless of the depth of the film. Pag comedy ba or mababaw, wala na agad quality? Filmfest entries should have variations for ALL types of viewers.

    1. True! Actually i think she feels bad that their movie is not raking in the big bucks.

    2. But there's smart-comedy. Comedy with sense and depth. I think, you should watch more and/or other films and not just Vice's movies.

      Delete
    3. Pang developed countries lang yong smart comedy w/ sense and depth. sorry, you can't get it in third world countries!. Or else di yan tangkilikin ng madlang pipol!

    4. She's not being disrespectful. She's just sharing her opinion.kung tayo may opinion bakit sya hindi pwede mag opinion.
She's not insisting nmn for us to watch the quality films.
For me,gusto q mag enjoy pero yong pag uwi q nmn may natutunan aq from the movie that i watched.

    5. Siargao is a good movie.
Para k na rin nagpunta sa Siargao.
      Yong mga artista magagaling umarte.
For the moms out there na my anak gusto mgtravel or yong gusto magtravel mag isa,may makukuha na mga tips from the movie.
May matutunan k from the experiences of the characters.
Di nasayang binayad q sa panonood.

And currently, may mga pelikulang kasali na talagang di qualified to compete in a film festival. Kaya dapat buwagin na ang MMFF. Wag na ring magbigay ng mga awards. Simpleng pagpapalabas lang ng pelikulang Pilipino.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Walang respeto to sa ibang artista na may mmff entries.

    ReplyDelete
  14. She has a point. We should be raising the taste bar of Filipinos when it comes to movies.m

    ReplyDelete
  15. sure, talent to pretend

    ReplyDelete
  16. That's why we have CINEMALAYA and other top FILM Festivals taon taon.

Iba noon at iba ngayon. Wag nating ikumpara ang dati sa ngayon. Kaya nga may changes.

Not saying na iitsapwera ang mga pelikula kasi kahit ako, I love quality films. Yung pang international. Dont get me wrong, I watch indie and other quality films.

    Masyado kang pa-impress.
You don't even have the charisma of your Ate Anne.

    ReplyDelete
At saka do not compare her wd her sister kc mgkaiba cla ng gusto when it comes to doing films.

  21. Wag ilagay sa December ang MMFF. Tapos.
